There were tears when Charlie realized that he wasn't leaving, though breakfast was awkward with Angel still pissed off at him. He really doesn't know what to do about that, and he can't even tell if Angel told Husk what he asked him to do or not since the bartender was treating him exactly the same, but growling at Angel whenever he caught him glaring at Lucifer. Some of the nervousness he felt was remedied by the fact that Alastor just didn't appear to be around during the day. Husk told him that he does this sometimes, goes off and does whatever he wants. He remembers being told about an Overlord meeting, but Alastor had wanted him to attend that so he doesn't believe it was that. Husk figured he had gone off to see Rosie.
Regardless, since he wasn't around, Lucifer spent time with Charlie instead. They baked some sweets, talked about how things were and ideas she had for the Hotel. She had a whole list of ideas for what she wanted to do, exercises she wanted to try and therapeutic sessions she thought Sinners would benefit from. Lucifer was starting to realize though that her large bright ideas were going to need more staff. The Hotel just didn't have enough and if she got the number of sinners here she wanted to? She couldn't run all of this on her own. Currently, since they barely had more than one or two sticking around at the moment, that wasn't really a concern. But it might get there in the future.
Maybe it was time he reached out to the Ars Goetia. He really doesn't want to talk to Paimon though, that demon makes him so unbelievably uncomfortable. He's such a self-absorbed, inconsiderate and callous person. Just being in the same room as him makes Lucifer's skin crawl. He never thought he would miss Solomon's annoying arrogant and smarter than you bitching. They would know best who he could employ to help Charlie though, especially since they oversee a large portion of Hellborns like the Imps.
He needs to make this work, both for Charlie and for the entirety of Hell.
Lucifer doesn't see Alastor until after dinner. He had retreated to his room once they were all finished eating and the kitchen was cleaned. He had left a plate of cookies and apple pie in front of Alastor's door, but hadn't bothered knocking to see if the demon returned. He figured, seeing as they made a time to see each other tonight, Alastor would show up at some point. His thoughts were proven quite accurate when from his place at his workbench, he noticed the shadows shifting in his room.
He paused his work on the newest rubber ducky creation and turned in his seat, watching the shadows stretch across the floor of his room before expanding upward into the form of the Radio Demon. Alastor brushed his clothes off, tucked his cane against his chest and fixed his gaze on Lucifer. "Your Majesty."
"Hey, welcome back." Leaning against his workbench he motioned toward Alastor. "Charlie reminded me today I owe you an appearance on your Radio Show." That wide grin split even more and Lucifer rolled his eyes. "The interview, asshole."
"Ah yes, I suppose we should make a plan for that. All in good time though." Charlie wanted it to happen sooner rather than later, but Alastor was right. Their plates were certainly full at the current moment. "The Overlord meeting is tomorrow, just to remind you. You had agreed to attend."
"So I did. I haven't attended one of them in... I don't know, probably a good five hundred years or longer." Lucifer shrugged and slipped down from the chair, brushing his vest off from the dust of the workbench. "The Overlords have changed since then."
"Quite right, though you do seem to know a good few of them. Like Rosie, Carmilla, and Zestial. You're certainly familiar with Valentino now." There was amusement in his voice at the last comment and Lucifer hummed.
"Never did hear the fallout of that."
"Well, I think after your public destruction of Adam, they've kept their noises out of the Hotel's business. But, I'm quite sure at the meeting they'll make a problem of it. The Vees are never ones to hold their tongues, even if they should."
