After Wang said all he had to say, Summer had to first input all that was said, she was not a rush person, everything she did,she had to first consider the outcome.
However, right now,she couldn't think of anything, she knew Wang was a good man but suddenly turning a person she considered a friend into a lover had never crossed her mind,if the relationship failed then the friendship would also be gone.
"Please don't think hard, you can't possibly have all the answers if you don't try right?" Wang argued. Kenya sighed
"You are a good man Wang, however if we date and things don't work out, won't we have spoilt a very good friendship" Kenya said.
" You haven't even tried, how do you come to that conclusion." Wang said." All I ask is to let me prove to you my feelings, nothing else. If you find it uncomfortable,I will stop immediately,I promise." Wang added. Kenya was pensive then later replied"okay but if I tell you to stop, please do so" Wang gently smiled at Kenya.
The two then went home, each in their different thoughts. In the days that followed, Wang would pack different kinds of interesting dishes. For example this very day,he packed heart shaped sweet moon cakes telling her that they were a great symbol for establishing a sweet relationship.
Kenya thought that Wang was romantic and sweet, she eat and enjoyed the cakes, she therefore decided to try dating wang truthfully.
Wang had just finished an operation when he received a call from home.
"Halo, mum? What is the matter, you don't normally call me in my working hours" Wang said as he closed his office door." I am your mother, what do you mean,I can call you whenever I want" A gentle woman's voice that was trying to sound tough echoed through the phone.
Wang smiled, his mother was called Fie Lou Wang ,born to Rong Lee Wang,Wang's grand father, she grew up pampered but also business shrewd, Rong had this only daughter so all his love was put on her,she was known as the Wang heiress in china, when she fell in love with Wang's father song Dong li, some family members had objected because he was a Korean and they wanted to preserve their interest within their circle.
Some even suggested possible men to her for marriage. She had ignored them and married Song anyway, telling them that if any of them was unhappy, they could surrender their interest in Wang cooperation, who could make an objection then? No one wanted to surrender their share, but they still didn't consider song family deep in their hearts.
" I am sorry mum,you can call me whenever you like, what does my beloved mother want to tell me?" Wang said.
"You were photographed with a lady yesterday, your Wang relatives are not happy " Lou Wang said.
" Aren't they your cousins? Don't push them on me" Wang said. Lou laughed gently before saying"Just tell me,who is she to you,I saw that you are co- workers, talking about work matters?""You looked her up?" Wang accused.
"Sorry,I didn't want to but you know your family, all information connecting to you is always available to us" Lou Wang said
"I know mum, I am pursuing her" Wang said. There was silence for some time." You know what it means right?" Lou asked.
" I know,I am willing to do whatever it takes to be with her,I don't care for those Wang uncles and Aunties. As long as you support my decision,I don't have any fear," wang said." Of course I support you! She is a beauty with brains after all," Lou said
"Son follow your heart as long as you are happy, that's all that matters," song interjected." Thank you mum, dad," Wang said
" Your dad and I are coming there for a vacation in two week's time,I hope we can meet," Lou said." Mum! She hasn't even accepted my advances, forget about meeting. Have a good night, patients are waiting on me," Wang said.
" Okay have a nice day at work," Lou said before disconnecting the phone call.
