#3 | SHOUYOU'S PLACE PT 2

After a long night, you woke up hungover, only to find yourself practically sharing a pillow with none other than Kenma Kozume. The realization made your heart skip a beat—how did you even end up like that? You quickly scrambled off the couch, trying to shake off the disorientation, but the question lingered in your mind as you made your way to the kitchen.

Standing by the counter, you were deep in thought, trying to process the bizarre situation. What were you and Kenma, anyway? Frenemies? Something more? The tension from last night, the awkward silence, the accidental closeness—it all swirled in your head, adding to the pounding pain of your hangover.

Before you could delve any deeper into your thoughts, they were interrupted by the sound of someone walking into the kitchen. You turned around to see a familiar ginger, holding his head as if battling a headache of his own.

"Morning," Shouyou mumbled, his voice low and groggy. He reached for a glass, filling it with cold water before grabbing the bottle of aspirin on the counter.

"Good morning," you replied, a mischievous grin forming on your lips as you decided to shift the focus away from your own confusion. "You and Rin were so adorable last night. So, when's the wedding?"

Shouyou nearly choked on his water, his eyes widening in panic. "Y/N!" he exclaimed, his face turning a shade of red that matched his hair.

You laughed, enjoying his flustered reaction. "What? I'm just saying what we're all thinking. You two are like the perfect couple."

"W-we're not a couple!" Shouyou stammered, his blush deepening. "We're just...friends."

"Uh-huh, friends who happen to be ridiculously cute together," you teased, leaning against the counter. "Seriously, Sho, you should just tell her how you feel. It's obvious she likes you too."

Shouyou rubbed the back of his neck awkwardly, looking anywhere but at you. "It's not that simple..."

"Sure it is," you said, giving him a reassuring smile. "You just have to take the plunge. Trust me, you'll feel a lot better once it's out in the open."

Shouyou sighed, finally meeting your gaze. "Maybe... I'll think about it."

"That's all I'm asking," you replied, giving him a playful nudge. "Just don't wait too long, okay?"

Before Shouyou could respond, the sound of footsteps approaching the kitchen caught your attention. You turned to see Kenma walking in, looking just as bleary-eyed as you had been earlier. His usually neat hair was tousled, and there was a hint of sleepiness in his golden eyes.

"Morning," Kenma muttered, his voice still hoarse from sleep.

"Morning, Kenma," Shouyou greeted him, his tone noticeably friendlier now that the conversation had shifted away from his love life.

You hesitated for a split second, but then remembered your promise to Rin to be nicer. "Morning, Kenma," you said, trying to keep your tone neutral.

Kenma nodded in acknowledgment, grabbing a glass and filling it with water. The silence that followed was heavy, but not as suffocating as before. You could feel the tension easing, even if just a little, and you couldn't help but wonder if last night's accidental closeness had something to do with it.

Rin then entered the kitchen, her presence instantly brightening the atmosphere. "Good morning, everyone!" she greeted cheerfully, her eyes sparkling with energy despite the late night.
