To say that they were both nervous was an understatement. But they were both so busy with school and other stuff, they barely had time to themselves. And with Tourney tryouts coming up, Chloe was busier than Red. But she did appreciate the distraction. She was worried at first that her being so busy, she was neglecting her best friend. But Red assured her that she wasn't, with the promise of sitting front row at every game, even if she wasn't much one for sports. Still, she wanted to support her best friend. Are they still friends? Possibly more? They were going to Castlecoming together. And they established that this was a date, right? So why was she so nervous?

They finally had some down time after tests, sports and homework. It was the day of Castlecoming and they were both in the room relaxing for a bit before getting ready. "Hey Red?" Chloe sits up in her bed. "Yes, Chlo?" Red walks to her closet and pulls out her dress. "You're not..i mean, this is stupid, but, you're not going with me out of guilt, are you?" Red pauses and stares at her. "Of course not." She goes and sits in front of her. "I like you. I thought we made that perfectly clear between each other?" Chloe nods. "No, i know. I just-" she sighs. "Growing up, being Cinderella and King Charming's daughter, Chad Charming's little sister, it wasn't easy. And after seeing how my mom grew up, i don't know. I can't help but feel like I've been spoiled. I know now that not everything is what it seems, there is not black and white. There's always shades of grey. But also, seeing how your mom was, how Bridget was so kind and sweet yet she was taken advantage of, it just-" Red nods. "You're worried the same thing might happen to you?" She asks.

Chloe shakes her head. "Not with you. I know you'd never do that to me." Red smiles. "Wouldn't dream of it, boo." Chloe blushes. "Stop." She shoves her face in her hands. "Stop what?" Red shrugs. "Making me blush." Chloe mumbles into her hands. "Aw, but you look so cute when you blush." Red grabs her hands so she can look at her face. "See? There it is, cuteness." Chloe looks away. Red gently grabs her chin and makes her look at her. "Why are you so shy all of a sudden?" Chloe sighs. "I don't know. I mean i know this probably isn't the first time you've flirted with me," Red nods. "It's not." "But, now that things have calmed down, I've actually had time to process what you're insinuating and...." Chloe blushes. "You don't like it?" Red asks. Chloe shakes her head. "Oh, well, i can stop flirting so much if that's what you-" "I love it, actually." Chloe bites her lip. "Ohh. Do you now?" Red smirks. Chloe nods. "I see, and how does it make you feel when i flirt with you?" Red slowly crawls on top of her. Chloe's eyes widen. "Um...." "Yes, Princess?" Red gets closer. "It um, it makes me feel...." Chloe stares at her deep red lips.

Suddenly there was a knock at the door. "I'll get it!" Chloe quickly gets out from under Red and heads to the door while Red bites her lip to keep from laughing. She must admit, she used to like messing with Chloe, but now that she knows that she actually does feel something, it's even more fun. She quickly covers her ears as she hears squeals from across the room. She turns to see Chloe hugging some older girl excitedly. "What are you doing here?! I thought you were in college?!" Chloe asks the mystery girl. "I'm in between semesters right now and i thought I'd come visit my little cousin." Red stands awkwardly in the corner. Chloe suddenly remembers her....friend? Girlfriend? More than a friend? "Oh, this is Red. Red, this is my cousin Dizzy." Dizzy holds out her hand as she smiles at her. "Nice to meet you." Red shakes her hand. "You too. Um, well I'm gonna grab a snack, maybe find Cree and hang out. I'll let you catch up." Red smiles at Chloe. "I'll see you around Dizzy!" She walks out. "Nice to meet you, Red!" Dizzy shouts after her. "Alright, spill." She tells her younger cousin as soon as Red is out of ear shot. Chloe groans.

Red goes to the enchanted lake and sits by the dock. She starts to reflect on herself and Chloe. They were so opposite. Could they really make it work? Could they work? What if her cousin didn't interrupt? Would they have gone further? It was definitely too soon for that, but for some reason, she couldn't help herself. She gets lost in Chloe. Time seems to stand still whenever they're alone. She's never been so confused. Not even when she was questioning her sexuality. She knew she liked guys, she just happened to like girls too. But Chloe, it just feels different. If only she could just tell her how she felt. She takes out her looking glass and waits for an answer.

"Hello my darling." Red smiles. "Mom, i need some advice." "What is it, love?" Bridget asks her. "Um, i want to tell Chloe how i feel, but I'm worried it might ruin our friendship." Red starts to tear up. Bridget sighs. "Well, do you think she feels the same way?" She asks. Red nods. "I think so, if I've been picking up on the hints correctly." Bridget slowly nods. "Then i suppose it wouldn't hurt to tell her how you feel." "But that's the thing, what if it does? What if she actually doesn't feel the same way? What if i tell her and she doesn't want to be friends anymore?" Bridget sighs. "Sweetheart, if your feelings get in the way of your friendship, then she was never truly your friend to begin with. But i know Chloe, you two have always been so close. She's not the type of person to stop being friends with you because of personal feelings. In fact, I'm sure she probably feels the same way." Red starts to shake her leg. "But how can you tell?" "Because I've known both of you your whole lives, you're meant to be, i can feel it." Bridget smiles. "And if we're not?" Red bites her lip. Her mom just shrugs. "You'll never know until you try."

Chloe lays on her stomach with her face in her pillow. "Cousin, you'll get nowhere in here. You should be out there telling your girl how you feel." Dizzy spins in the office chair at the desk. Chloe suddenly lifts her head and looks at the clock. "Shit! I should be getting ready for Castlecoming!" She quickly gets out of bed and runs to her closet. "That's perfect! You can tell her at the dance!" "And ruin the night?" Chloe starts changing. "No thanks, I'll tell her tomorrow." Dizzy shakes her head. "Didn't your parents fall in love at Castlecoming? Don't you want that for you and Red?" She walks over and helps Chloe with her hair. "I do....i think I'm gonna tell her. Tonight." "Attagirl!"
