Divya's POV

"You look ravishing." Elizabeth complimented me as I met her in the living room downstairs. "Red is most definitely your color."

"I know, but thank you." I looked at her extended hand.

"Please." Elizabeth pleaded before I did as asked and held her head.

"You don't look bad either." Elizabeth looked beyond good, she looked absolutely gorgeous. Her beauty was no secret to anyone, I had eyes. She was wearing a cream colored long dress that went perfectly with her bronze skin, her long dark hair was down and styled in waves.

"Thank you darling." Elizabeth entered the elevator with me and pressed the button to the underground parking lot. She took out her phone and began texting away on it.

She seems busy today— well I'm sure she is a busy person but today especially.

"Anything I should know about your resentful ex?" I asked and only then did her gaze lifted from her phone.

"Alice is... way too smart, she will figure out this engagement is fake is we don't have a cohesive story. She's observing, she knows how to handle people so we have to be careful with what we say. Most importantly she knows me too bloody well."

I nodded at the new information, "Well is not the first time I face off with a jealous ex so trust me, I can handle her."

"I have no doubt about it." Elizabeth shamelessly checked me out—her gaze going up and down. "Oh I almost forgot, here," she took out two rings.

"What is that?" I pointed to the rings with a considerably big diamond rock on it.

"We can't be engaged without rings." The doors of the elevator opened and Elizabeth grabbed my hand. "Can I put it?"

I raised a brow and grabbed the ring from her hands. "Thanks, but I think I got it."

"As you wish." Elizabeth said as she put her own ring on her finger.

I stared at the shiny diamond in awe—I couldn't even imagine the price of this thing.

"It's beautiful." I complimented it as we walked through the parking lot.

"I'm glad you like it love." Elizabeth took out her car keys and I had to pretend not to be shocked by the white Bentley she owned.

This is the norm for her there's no point on being surprised by every single thing.

Before I could open the door of the passenger seat she hurried up and did it for me.

I gave her a look, "Really?"

She hummed with a smirk on her plump lips. "I have to threat you well, don't I?"

"How dashing." I entered the car and she also closed the door for me.

Elizabeth circled the car and entered it, we buckled up and she started the car. I wasn't sure what we could talk about so I opted to check my phone and see if I had any reply from Kaden. But there was nothing.

Unfortunately.

We were out of the underground parking lot and into the streets of Chicago, this is barely my second time in this city but it looks pretty from what I've gotten to see. I didn't go out of Canada a lot.

"Can we tour around Chicago tomorrow?" I asked breaking the silence in the car.

Elizabeth gave me a quick look before returning her attention to the road. "Of course, if that's what you want to do I don't see why not."
