Divya's POV

"Divya! Oh thank goodness you are home." Kaden exclaimed as she entered the apartment and hurried my way to embrace me.

I frowned and hugged her back, "I was only gone for three days."

"Three days of eating microwave noodles for dinner—too long." She looked at the kitchen island and then back at me with a ridiculous. "What are you cooking?"

"You are so damn lazy. I made mac and cheese, I got off a plane today I'm not making anything too elaborated, you're lucky I even cooked at all." She hugged me again and went towards the fridge.
"How was Chicago? I've never been there, but I'm sure fem Richie Rich showed you around perfectly."

"We didn't do that much touring, however I did meet her mom." I responded as I went to get the mac and cheese out of the oven.

"Her mom?!" Kaden looked at me wide eyed, a can of Mountain Dew on her hand.

I nodded putting the mac and cheese on the island counter. "It caught us both by surprise, at least she was nice but meeting her wasn't something I was looking forward to."

"Of course not, you've met Elizabeth like what? Three times before your trip? She's crazy." Kaden said as she served herself a plate of mac and cheese and hummed as soon as she got her first taste. "This is great Dyv."

"I know." I grinned as I served myself some as well. In the middle of our dinner the doorbell rang and the door was shortly opened, not making it hard to figure out who was— or were walking in. "Jen how many times do I have to tell you to knock first!"

"Morgan is the same way." Kaden commented as she kept eating.

"Oh great you are back." Jen said and sat on the booth beside me while Grace went to sit by Kaden's side.

"I missed you Dyv... sort of. Now Kaden and I are going to have to be quiet when we are doing stuff here." Grace said nonchalantly.

Kaden stopped eating to look at me, "I didn't say anything so don't give me that look."

The only reason why I chose not to say anything else to her to her regarding her friends with benefits shit she got going on with Grace is because I know she's still hurting over Jessie, she needs to distract herself on way or the other.

We finished eating and Kaden went to lock herself in her room while Jen, Grace and I stayed outside in the living room watching Big Brother.

I felt Grace nudge me when Jen left to go to the bathroom. I turned to her and raised my brow, wondering why would she interrupted my binge watch now.

"Yes?"

"Kaden cried yesterday during sex."

"Oh God." I shook my head at both her bluntness and the news. "Was it about Jessie."

"What else would it be about? I'm great at making her cum so it wasn't about the sex." Grace shrugged making me roll my eyes. "Anyway I figured out you should know, you are sort of her best friend and all."

"Awe you care about Kaden?" I teased her which made her swat my hand away.

"We are friends with benefits so excuse me if I don't want her to go kill herself over some ex of hers. Granted Jessie was fucking amazing in bed so I get why she misses her... partly."

"Aren't you adorable?" I laughed and tried to squeeze her cheeks only to get my hands slapped away again. "It is nice of you to care for her though... thanks for telling me."
