After dinner, the girls dispersed to their respective rooms. The resort they were staying at was a beautiful beachfront property, and the night air was filled with the sound of gentle waves lapping against the shore. The moon hung high in the sky, casting a silvery glow over everything, creating a serene and almost magical atmosphere.

Aiah lay on her bed, completely cocooned in her comforter, with only her face peeking out. The room was dimly lit by the soft glow of her phone, the only light source in the otherwise dark room. Jhoanna and Stacey were already sound asleep, their quiet breathing the only sound in the room aside from the occasional rustle of the sheets.

Aiah couldn't sleep. Her thoughts were filled with Mikha, and she found herself missing her the younger girl's presence even though they'd only been apart for a short while. She opened her phone and began typing a message, her fingers moving quickly across the screen.

oiah: still awake, babi?

Aiah bit her lip, waiting for a response, her heart beating just a little faster in anticipation. Not even a minute passed before her phone buzzed with a reply.

mekalem: yes

mekalem: miss mo ko?

Aiah smiled, her heart warming at the sight of Mikha's reply. She quickly typed her response, feeling a flutter of excitement in her chest.

oiah: secret

oiah: jhocey's sleeping na

oiah: come here?

She stared at her phone, hoping Mikha would agree. The idea of sneaking out to be with her felt thrilling and a little forbidden, making her heart race. But Mikha's response made her pout.

mekalem: too risky, babi

Aiah frowned, her fingers flying across the keyboard in an attempt to persuade Mikha.

oiah: awake pa gwenny?

mekalem: yes :(

Aiah groaned softly, feeling frustrated. She wanted to see Mikha so badly. The thought of not being able to hold her or kiss her tonight was unbearable.

oiah: let's meet at the beach na lang

mekalem: too lazy to get up

Aiah clenched her fist in mock annoyance, her frustration evident in her next messages.

oiah: GRRRRR

oiah: don't you miss me? 🙄

She waited, staring at the screen, her heart thumping in her chest. Mikha's reply was playful, yet it only made Aiah's yearning grow.

mekalem: hmmm

mekalem: Zzzzzzzz

Aiah's jaw dropped in disbelief, her eyes widening at the screen. A playful grin spread across her face as she typed back quickly.

oiah: ah ganon?

oiah: okay, spend your last day in Cebu ALONE.

There was a pause, and Aiah wondered if she'd gone too far. But then, her phone buzzed again, and she couldn't help but laugh out loud.

mekalem: elev na 'ko, pababa. ambagal mo naman, arceta

oiah: HAHAHAHAHAHA

oiah: see you, babe

mekalem: 🙄

Aiah grinned, feeling a rush of excitement as she carefully slid out from under the comforter. She was meticulous in her movements, making sure not to wake Jhoanna and Stacey. The last thing she needed was for them to ask questions. She quickly grabbed her favorite Charlotte Folk sweater, the one Mikha always said looked so good on her, and quietly left the room, locking the door behind her.
