*Kiara pov*
I laugh at Jedi before saying, "Alright, you two go play, and if anyone tells me you two fought, you're in big trouble. I see King roll his eyes as he turns, and Jedi follows. They walk out of the cave, and Kovu looks concerned, so I ask, "What's wrong, love?" He says, "I have a bad feeling about them." I say, "Calm down, they'll be fine. They just gotta warm up to each other." Kovu says, "Alright... I hope they get along." I nuzzle him and say, "They will it just takes time." He says, "I guess."

*Jedi pov*
Me and King walk out of priderock without saying a word, and we see a group of cubs playing outside, but we look at each other and make a silent agreement to stay away. After a minute, we walk down into the grasslands, and he lies down. I say, "Come on, let's play something." He says, "No." I say, "Yeah, come on, if we're gonna be brothers, we gotta pretend like each other." He says, "I don't wanna be brothers with a dirty hybrid like you." I say, "What did you say?" He says, "You heard me." I say, "Nah, say it again!" He stands up and says, "I don't want to be brothers with a dirty hybrid like you!"

I punch him in the face and pounce on him. As I pounce, he hits me in the face and throws me off track. I land, and we growl again until a much older lioness steps between us; she says, "Cubs, stop fighting." My ears drop as I realize it's Queen Nala. She says, "I should tell Kiara..." King says, "I'm not scared of her." Nala says, "You shouldn't be. She is your mother, but you should be scared of her punishments." I say, "What?" She says, "Kiara can be scary if she wants to be so be careful... I won't tell her this time." She walks away, and I look at King. He says, "Truce... for now." I say, "Yeah."

We walk around the pridelands and get along surprisingly well.

*King Pov*
After what Nala said, I did get worried about Kiara. So I tried to get along with Jedi, but I can't help but call him Hybrid a few times. Eventually, we stop at a watering hole, and he says, "Alright, annoying orange, let's spar for fun." I say, "Annoying orange?" He says, "Mhm, cause you're orange, and you're annoying." I chuckle and say, "Alright, let's spar."

We both smile as we circle each other. He pounces first, but I easily dodge him. He stands and says, "Alright." I pounce next, but right before I land on him, he dodges, and it looks like a blur. I fall on my face and get pinned. I say, "What?" He smiles at me and says, "Perks of being a hybrid, I'm half cheetah." I say, "You have cheetah speed!?" He says, "Mhm, and I win." I say, "But that's unfair." He says, "Always expect the unexpected King." I chuckle and push him off, "Fine, you win this time." Jedi smiles and lays down next to the water.

I get an idea to mess with him, though, so I jump into the water and splash him. He yells, "King, what the!?" I laugh at him, and he splashes me in the face. I splash back, and we continue this until he eventually says, "Okay, okay, stop." I say, "And I win this time." He rolls his eyes and says, "Whatever." I laugh and shake out my fur as I get out.

Jedi shakes his fur out and says, "I'm exhausted." I sigh and say, "Me too, honestly." He says, "Let's go back to priderock." I say, "And get another bath no thanks." He laughs and says, "We just took a bath, we'll be fine." I say, "Fine."

We walk back up priderock, and Kiara and Kovu are gone, so we walk towards the back and lie down. We lay on our sides facing away from each other for a minute until he turns over and says, "Hey, King." I say, "Yeah?" Jedi says, "You're not half bad for an orangey." I laugh and say, "You're not bad for a dirty hybrid." He chuckles and pauses for a second before saying, "Friends?" I think for a second before saying, "Yeah, let's start with friends." He says, "Alright orangey." I say, "Okay hybrid... *yawn* I'm taking a nap." He says, "Alright, me too."

A little while later, I'm woken up by Kiara nudging me. I push her away, but she says, "Don't make us pick you up, King." I sleepily say, "I don't wanna." Then I feel another lion pick me up. I turn and see Kovu. Kiara says, "You should've got up like your brother." I look over and see Jedi stretching with a wide smile on his face. He laughs at me as Kovu carries me out and sets me in front of an old mandrill. Jedi joins me, so I ask, "What's going on?" He says, "No idea, but it's important." I say, "What do you mean?" He says, "Look." I look out over priderock and see the entire kingdom gathered. I say, "Wow." He says, "Yeah, it's crazy."

The mandrill says, "Follow young princes." Jedi and I look at each other and say, "Princes?" The mandrill has already moved closer to the edge, so we follow him, and he opens a fruit full of a red liquid. He says, "Here." And points to the ground in front of him... at the edge of priderock. Jedi says, "You first." I cockily say, "Why, you scared?" He defensively says, "No!" I say, "Sure." He says, "Just go up there." I say, "Alright, fine."

Then I walk up, and the monkey dips his paw in the red liquid. He says, "Come closer." I walk close to him and sit down in front of him. He extends his paw that has the liquid on it, so I back up, but he says, "Stop it is required." I raise my head, and he smears the red across my forehead. Then he announces, "It is official. Prince King, son of Kiara and Kovu." I hear Jedi chuckle when he says, "Prince King." I can't help but laugh at the title also, though.

Once I walk back, Jedi walks up to the monkey and sits proudly. The monkey dips his paw in the dye again and smears it on Jedi's forehead. All Jedi does is smile, and once it's finished, he looks at the pridelanders still cheering for us both. The monkey announces, "Prince Jedi is officially the son of Kiara and Kovu!"

He walks back to me and gives me a paw bump. We hear Kiara say something to Kovu but can't make out the words. They walk over to us, and Kiara nuzzles us, but we just stand there awkwardly. She breaks the embrace and smiles at us. Kovu says, "Sons, you two are princes now. You have to act like it." I almost laugh but keep my composure.

Jedi asks, "Why are we princes if you guys aren't King and queen yet?" Kovu says, "King Simba and Queen Nala plan to step down soon, so we are preparing you two." I say, "Wait, so I'm the heir to the throne?" Kiara says, "That depends on if we have biological children, and if not, the younger of you two will lead the lion guard, and the other will become King with their mate." Jedi says, "How old are you, King?" I say, "I don't know." I say, 'Me neither." Kiara says, "We'll have to wait till one of you gains the roar then." Kovu pats Jedi on the head and says, "You two have fun. We're gonna go rest."

Jedi says, "Okay, bye." Kiara says, "Bye boys, be good." Jedi and I chuckle, and he says, "No promises."

Hey guys, Jedi here, and I've been sitting on this chapter for a while because the cubs' attitude towards each other is kind of random, but I think it works because they're kind of random. But anyway, have a good day/night. May the force be with you, Jedi out!!!
