I just wanna be King

*Jedi pov*
When Kiara and Kovu leave I say, "Being king would be so cool." King says, "It is." I roll my eyes and say, "Of the pridelands." King laughs and says, "It will be cool." I say, "I can't wait." King says, "Like you'll be King." I say, "I'd make a better king than you." King says, "Whatever."

Our argument is cut short by a bright ray of sun hitting us in the face. It dies down quickly and the face of a male lion appears in the newly formed clouds. Neither of us are sure of who the lion is but he says, "Young princes I am your grandfather Mufasa." I recognize the name and ask, "Why are you here?" He says, "The great kings have made a decision on you two." King says, "Which is?" Mufasa says, "Jedi will be King, King you will be leader of the lion guard." King immediately blurts out, "What! Why him!?" Mufasa says he has proven so far to be more mature but you are a better fighter which makes you better for the guard. Do you understand?" King looks angry but apparently knows better than to anger the gods (surprising) and says, "Yes sir." Mufasa says, "You must start looking for members soon now that you are the prince. You need the strongest, fastest, bravest, and keenest of sight" King nods and Mufasa looks at me saying, "Jedi you will be the king of the pridelands. But you must understand this is a big responsibility and must be taken seriously." I say, "I understand." He says, "Good, now I must go tell your parents." King and I both nod and Mufasa fades into the clouds.

King looks at me slightly angry but says, "Congrats bro." I'm taken aback by his niceness and the fact he called me bro so I say, "Bro?" King says, "You're my "brother," and friend so yeah bro." I say, "Alright bro, thanks." He says, "This is gonna sound crazy but... would you be the fastest on my lion guard." In a fake surprised tone I gasp and say, "You want a dirty hybrid on the lion guard?" King rolls his eyes and says, "Don't push it." I say, "I'll do it." He says, "Good."

Before either of us say anything more, King's eyes go wide as he looks behind me towards the entrance to priderock. I say "What? Oh." As I turn and see two Lionesses our age. King says, "Wow they're pretty." I roll my eyes and say, "Go talk to them." He says, "No way." I say, "Why not?" He says, "Cause they're girls." I say, "Oh my god you're so annoying." Then walk over to the lionesses. King says, "Jedi no." But follows nervously. We walk over and I say, "Hey, I'm Jedi and this is my brother King." King nervously smiles and the girls laugh. The bigger one says, "I'm sorry, my name's Crystal." She has golden brown fur with hints of purple throughout, and blueish gray eyes. The smaller lioness smiles at King and says "I'm Belle." King says, "Hi.' I say, "It's nice to meet you both I thought I'd tell you-." Before I can finish, King hits me in the side and says, "Thought you'd introduce the princes right?" I roll my eyes and say, "Yeah." Then I wink at the girls who giggle before walking away.

When they're out of earshot I laugh and say, "You were so nervous." King says, "Shut up, that's what happens when you're forced to talk to two pretty lionesses." I say, "Whatever." he playfully punches me and says, "Never do that again... she smiled at me!" I say, "And you just awkwardly stood there." King ignores me and says, "I'm in love." I burst out laughing and say, "Yeah like she'd go out with you." He says, "Sure she would, I have a great personality." I say, "Violence doesn't count as a "Great personality."" He says, "Yes it does and there's more to me than violence." I say, "Like what?"'He says, "I'm a fun lion." I say, "What?" King says, "I like to have fun." I say, "True." King says, "What's not to like?" I say, "Your face." He says, "Shut up hybrid." I say, "At least I'm a magnificent hybrid." After I say that we hear laughing from behind us so we both growl until a lioness in her teens comes out. She has purple eyes and a tuft of fur over her eye. King says, "Tani!?" Vitani says, "Hey King." I say, "Who?" Vitani says, "I'm Vitani the lion guard leader, and you're Jedi, right?" King asks, "How long have you been watching us." Vitani says, "SInce Belle and Crystal walked out."

King chuckles and blushes knowing Vitani, who's apparently his friend, saw how awkward he is. She ruffles his mane and says, "It's okay King but that was pretty funny." I say, "Yeah." King pushes me and says, "Come on man." I laugh and say, "Let's go do something." King says, "Like what?" I say, "I don't know, something fun that'll probably get us in trouble with Kiara and Kovu." King says, "Sounds like a plan."

*King pov*
Jedi runs down priderock and taunts, "King has crush, King has a crush!" I growl and chase after him but he's too fast. I run and quickly get tired but Jedi makes the mistake of running back towards me so I stick my leg out and trip him. He falls flat on his face and I laugh as he gets up. I'm still laughing when he pins me but I quickly stop when he starts growling at me. Before he does anything we hear the obnoxious voice of Zazu above us yell, "Your majesty the cubs are here!" I breathe a sigh of relief as Jedi gets off me just a little too late. Kovu and Kiara walk over and Kiara says, "What are you doing here running and growling like maniacs?" Jedi looks down at his paws but I say, "Teaching the hybrid to not mess with me." Jedi growls again but Kovu firmly says, "Both of you stop it." Both our ears drop at his tone and Kiara whispers something to Kovu that makes him chuckle but nod. He says, "If you two are gonna fight, you're gonna hug it out." Jedi looks at me and says, "No way." I say, "Hug?"

*Jedi Pov*
Kiara says, "Yeah a hug."King shrugs and says, "Never heard of it." A hint of sadness shows in Kiara's eyes as she says, "You've never got a hug?" King says, "I didn't get any affection in the outlands so probably not." This makes me feel bad, even I had people that gave me hugs even if they were rare. So I walk over and hug him. At first he's tense to my touch and he tries to push me away but after a few seconds he relaxes and takes a few breaths and I can feel him ease up. I hold it for a minute until he pushes me away and says, "Enough of this... affection I don't want it." I say, "You sure cause you were super relaxed?" King says, "I said I don't want it leave me alone!" Kiara says, "King calm down, he's just trying to help." King says, "I don't want his help, I don't want yours either, I just want to be King." Kiara says, "You know what." King says, "What?" Kiara says, "Follow me." I say, "To where?" She says, "Just trust me." Then she starts to walk away so I say, "Kovu where are we going." He shrugs and says, "No clue but you best follow." I say, "Why?" Kovu says, "Trust me." I'm confused but I walk behind her with King next to me who's equally confused."

Hey guys Jedi here and I know this took a while to make but I've been busy with other stuff in my personal life (like my gf and looking for jobs) and on wattpad like planning and writing 3-5 stories, but I hope you enjoyed and this one was reviewed a few times by King when his character was having major developments so he is apart of this story's writing and Crystal and Belle are of course based off my sisters and another friend may be joining the story also but we'll see but anyways have a good day/night may the force be with you, Jedi OUT!!!
