Kovu and King

Kovu pov *back at the beginning*
After I started my patrol, it was all quiet until I found the cub. He was alone in tall grass, still asleep, but when I walked closer, he shot up and growled. He isn't scared at all, which surprises me, so I say, "Woah, I'm not gonna hurt you." He says, 'I'm not scared of you." I say, "I know... I'm Kovu. Who are you?" He looks like he wanted to fight, but he eases up and says, "I'm King." I say, "King, who named you that? King says, "I did."

I say, "You named yourself?" He nods and says, "My parents didn't even stick around long enough to name me, so I gave myself a name." I say, "Oh, I'm sorry." He says, "Don't be." I say, "So who do you live with?" He says, "Me and no one else." I say, "Come with me to priderock." King says, "Absolutely not." I pick him up by the scruff and say, "As future King, that wasn't a question." King kicks and scratches, but can't get me, so I carry him up priderock.

When I get up, I set him down and say, "I found this cub with no parents. He said they left when he was born." Then I see Kiara with a cub about King's age, maybe a little older, which confuses me. So I ask, "Whose that?" She says, "Jedi, our new son." He looks upset, though." I say, "You adopted him?" She says, "Yep, whose that?" I say, "King he doesn't have parents." She says, "King, that's a unique name, but apparently no one wants to take in a cub today." I say, " Oh." As my ears drop. Kiara looks slightly happy, though, as she says, "I mean we could. How bad could they be?" I look at King who isn't really paying attention, so I say, "Fine." She kisses my cheek and says, "We'll be fine, and so will they.

King and Jedi walk over to each other and examine each other before growling. I say, "King, Jedi, no growling." But they ignore me, so I pick up King and say, "No growling do you understand." Kiara does something similar to Jedi and then says, "You two are brothers now, so get along." They don't look at her but nod. I say, "You two have to get along." They say, "Okay."

Kiara looks at them and says, "You two are really dirty. You could use a bath. She says, "King, come here." He does so skeptically, and Kiara picks him up before licking his fur clean. But the whole time he freaks out and insists, she doesn't touch his mane. But of course she does, and he gets upset. When she lets him go, he storms back towards jedi and tries to fix his mane.

Jedi laughs but is subsequently picked up by Kiara and bathed. He also freaks out, but because he doesn't like being licked. When she lets him go, he runs towards me and says, "Please never make me do that again." I chuckle and say no can do.

Hey guys, jedi here, and I know these first 2 chapters were short, but that was intentional just to introduce the main characters. But anyways, may the force be with you, Jedi OUT!!!
