Have you seen the destruction after a storm?
The way it destroys everything. Sometime things which are dear to you. But you know what's the biggest destruction a storm can cause?
Taking away your dear one from you. Something happened with Taehyung. A storm hidden behind the name of fate came and took away his Jungkook from him.
Taehyung found himself lost, helpless. He didn't know what to do. Where to go? Whom to speak? Whom to complain? At least he had Jin and Jimin to lean on.
Taehyung found himself in the same park where he had seen Jungkook for the first time. Where they had met first time, where they had talked for the first time.
Even this swing he was sitting on, gave him nothing but a bunch memories. He remembered the way he would push the swing for Jungkook and the whole park would echo with his giggles.
Jungkook.
Suddenly his mind diverted to the last night's event.
After running out from the church, Taehyung had stumbled on his steps. His legs had given up. They were so numb that even after falling down on the ground with a thud, he had felt nothing. No pain.
All he felt was, his heart wrenching and breaking into a million pieces.
Jin and Jimin were behind him. They also had tears, seeing their friend in such state. "Tae... let's go," Jin whispered, he helped Taehyung in standing up.
They made Taehyung sit on the backseat of the car. He just sat there as a soulless body. The car ride to Taehyung's home was silent. The only sound came was from Taehyung as he struggled to contain his sobs.
Jin drove them carefully, his knuckles turning white on the steering wheel, while Jimin sat beside Taehyung on the backseat. He hugged Taehyung tightly because, he doesn't know, how to provide Taehyung comfort other than this.
The oversize wedding suit draped over Taehyung's small frame like a cruel reminder of what fate has caused him. What pain he and Jungkook were suffering from.
He could still feel the lingering warmth of Jungkook's hands, could still see the love and trust in those doe eyes turning to confusion, then pain, then a hatred that Taehyung knew he deserved.
The memory made him want to scream, to claw at his skin until he could rip away this younger body and return to the man Jungkook had loved.
Jimin's hand rested on Taehyung's, a gesture of comfort that felt like fire against his skin. How could he accept comfort when he had destroyed everything?
Tae..." Jimin started, his voice thick with unshed tears.
"Don't," Taehyung whispered, his teenager voice cracking. "Please, just... don't."
As they pulled up to the house, Taehyung's heart begun to race, a wave of panic rushed through his body.
How could he face his parents? How could he explain that their son had gambled with magic and lost everything? How he did one thing he shouldn't have in his entire life...
"Do you want us to come in with you?" Jin asked softly as he parked the car. His voice brought Taehyung out from his semi panic state.
Taehyung shook his head slowly, swallowing hard against the lump in his throat. "No," he managed to say, his voice barely audible. "I need to do this a-alone." The words 'alone' echoed in his mind - was this his fate now? To be forever alone, trapped in a body too young for the love he felt?
'Alone' word felt foreign on his tongue. It left a bitter taste in his mouth. He wasn't alone till morning.
Jungkook was there. It was them. Together.
