Chapter 9- Little Drive

Salem's Pov
I woke as it was the morning I was wearing Calry's hoodie. I don't remember switching hoodies when did we? I rolled out of bed and glance at the mirror. Kenough? Oh I'm definitely not but I have to admit the hoodie is nice and soft. I walk down stairs surprised to see mum still here. Does she not have work today? "Hey Princess are you hungry?" I shake my head as my dad put me off having breakfast as I always had to wake up early to make him breakfast and he would always be ungrateful. But my best friend enjoy their breakfast as I didn't like wasting food and he would always be over because my mum liked him to. I do miss Oscar it's just I was always at my dad's apartment and I didn't want to burden him with everything as I know his mum was in the hospital sick. Mum approached me. "You and Carly are quite close." She said looking at the hoodie. I nod and sighed do I tell my mum I'm dating her? "Yeah we are, we clicked straight away mum because you were at the sister nursery she missed you and luckily I am a smaller version of her best friend. Oh and I'm dating her if that's okay" Mum hugged me? We actually never stop for a moment and hugged it was pleasure I have missed her being my mum. She seemed glad I was open about it? "Of course that's okay Princess as long as you are both happy and I didn't think me and Carly were that close." I gasp. "Of course you and Carly are close you are both best friends and look out for each other."

Charlotte's Pov
It was nice to see Salem happy, she has been at the nurseries for over a month she seems happier now. Her arm is healing very she is well only wearing bandages around the her wrist just to gently hold her wrist. Wait how come she up so late? Normally she would have a early shift today. "What time do you have work time?" Salem shrugs "I don't know actually but Reece is taking me to his nursery as Carly begged Marjorie for me to go over with her and Marjorie agree saying I'll be good at protecting Carly from Mia" Salem say with a hint of sass looking at me. "Are you going to explain how come Mia is only kind to you?" I nervously laughed. "Mia isn't nice to me Salem she just kinder to me than Marjorie as they don't get along because Mia dated Reece." Salem nodded she seemed interested about Mia but why? Salem glances at her phone and smiles immediately, clearly Carly messaged her. "Right bye Mum they are outside." Salem gives me a quick hug like before it was longer than the last one. She still seemed like she needs to warm up to me as she still seems being revered and I don't know everything her father did to her. I still want to throw up thinking about how much pain she has been in and thinking she deserved. Yes we fell out of love but I can't believe he had that much control over her and made her believe she was the reason we fell out of love because he changed. I was so wrapped in my head. I was brought back to reality when Salem close the door. "Bye Princess!!" I shouted hoping Salem heard.

Reece's Pov
I was Carly's Taxi driver again she insisted we pick up Salem. I have never met Salem before I know Mia spent a day with her. Carly gives me all the gossip, Mia spent the day with Char and Salem. I didn't know why Mia never did anything out of kindness, Charlotte seems fine and if Salem is like her mum then she sweet so no wonder Carly is a fan. Salem walked out in Carly's barbie hoodie I snickered. "That explains why you are wearing something different now doesn't it Carly" Carly rolls her eyes looking at me through rear mirror. "Be nice Reece she is lovely" Carly smiles as Salem gets in. "Thank you very much" Salem says shyly, she smiles at Carly. "Let's go Childern" I was starting the engine and driving to the nursery. Salem looks so sweet bless her definitely like Charlotte. Salem holding Calry's hand I smile. That explains why Calry is more giddy she actually find someone good for her. Salem rests her head on Calry's shoulder. "You okay?" Calry whispered. Salem hummed a response. That clearly means something is wrong why does no one tell me what's going on and leaves me to figure it out. I'll ring Marjorie and inquire. I played Barbie Girl to brighten the mood. Carly singing along with me and Salem laughing at us. "This is adorable" Salem says laughing.
