Since U Been Gone (Charlie x Bi!Singer!Reader)

As you prepared for you performance, you searched the bar for your girlfriend, Charlie Bradbury.

As your (e/c) eyes locked with her brown ones, smiles were exchanged. But a familiar face out of the corner of your eye made you frown and look that way.

Unfortunately, it was the face of your ex-boyfriend, Dave. Oh, no... What's that asshole doing here?  You thought.

As you looked back at Charlie, you rolled your eyes and discretely motioned your head to your ex. As she looked towards him, you could see her frown. She shot you a look a disgust and rolled her eyes. You took that as a sign to ignore him. But a malicious thought came to your head as you turned to your DJ.

"Hey, so do you mind making a small change to the playlist?" You questioned. The DJ nodded and quickly pulled up the song you told her to. 

With that over and done, you turned to the crowd in front of the bar. Looks like a full house tonight. This'll be even more fun.

"Hey everybody!" Enthusing into the microphone, you raised your arms to the cheers of the crowd. "Who's ready to rock?" With that, the crowd roared even louder. "Hit it, DJ!"

Loud music pounded through the speakers, and you opened your mouth to begin singing.

"Here's the thing, we started out friends

It was cool but it was pretend

Charlie started giggling as she recognized the song. Man, she thought, Dave is gonna be pissed!

"You dedicated, you took the time

The music took on a faster pace as the chorus started. You were rocking out on stage in a gorgeous black dress that hugged every curve. (H/c) hair was flying, and Charlie couldn't help but admire how hot you looked.

And as the first chorus passed, you shot a wink to Charlie. She winked back and you turned your eyes to Dave. He stood up angrily, and made his way to the exit.

Mission accomplished.

"Oh my god, did you see his face?!" You squealed as you and Charlie walked hand-in-hand out of the bar.

"Yes! He was furious!" Both of you erupted in giggles. "I love you." Charlie said suddenly.

You raised a brow. "I love you too, but where's this coming from?" 

"Nowhere," She responded, "But I'm glad you're with me and not him."

You grinned and leaned in to kiss your girlfriend's smooth lips. "Well you don't have to worry about that. You're the one I love."
