Pinecone entered the world through the recovery machine, completely out of it and barely conscious, just like many others before him.
He looked around and couldn't see anybody at all, none of the others like Pizza or Shieldy, none of the Smokin' Hot Babes™️ like Popsicley or Chocolatey... where is everyone?
But finally! He saw somebody!
Hot Dog... but he didn't look very good.
Pinecone went closer to get a better look...
Hot Dog was on the floor, spasming and drooling from the mouth. His eyes looked empty and soulless, like this wasn't even the Hot Dog everyone knew and (hopefully) loved.
When Hot Dog saw Pinecone in front of him, he giggled and grabbed Pinecone, then started bringing him towards his mouth! All Pinecone could think was: oh god not this again...
Luckily, Baguette pulled him away from the giggling and drooling Hot Dog before he could be directly consumed.
Baguette saw it was Pinecone and said to him in French "Oh! Hello Pinecone my friend, so um, yeah as you can see Hot Dog is acting quite idiotic."
Pinecone was going to talk but nobody understands him anyway so he lets Baguette continue on talking.
I am not translating the entire English dictionary's worth of Baguette's French that he doesn't even need to use because he knows English, so instead I'm just gonna explain what he's saying in a way that we can all understand, together!
According to Pizza, Hot Dog was like this when he was first respawned, he was barely even aware of his surroundings and instead of talking or knitting like Hot Dog would do he would resort to regularly biting people, especially the contestants made of actual food like Chocolatey, Popsicley and especially Pizza himself.
Controls had left for no discernible reason so everybody else went out looking for him. Baguette was respawned right as everybody was about to leave so they let him stay as he didn't want to join the others and instead he could make sure Hot Dog doesn't hurt anybody else that shows up.
Pinecone wonders why they didn't just take the recovery machine with them. He decides that although people might not be able to hear him he could at least try.
"Why didn't they just take the box with them?" said Pinecone, coming out as a load of squeaking to Baguette.
"Erm... what?" said Baguette
"I SAID why didn't they just take the box WITH THEM?" said Pinecone
Baguette was able to understand him, so he answered.
"Good point... I might as well try and take it to them, I really don't want to have to be stuck here when Pear, Scissors and Big Orange Chicken show up." said Baguette
So Baguette out down Pinecone, walked over to the recovery box, and started dragging it in the direction of where everybody else had walked off to.
Besides... Pinecone figured Hot Dog wasn't going anywhere, right?
...Right?
Penny/Popsicley had to join the rest of this... object group to find their buddy. She'd know she would look lots more suspicious if she didn't, and who knows what these objects would do to her if they found out she was human. That Hot Dog thing tried to eat her, are all of these things weird cannibals?
Everything around her felt like a blur to her, she could barely grasp at the fact that what was happening was actually happening, she could hear some of the other ones talking about something... something that didn't matter to her.
She was just hungry and out of it...
She misses her family...
She misses her friends...
She misses eating food...
She misses her dad...
"POPSICLEY!" said the large boat one.
"AAAGH!W-what!?" said Penny/Popsicley
"I've been trying to talk to you and you've just been so out of it. What's wrong?" said the boat.
"U-uh! NOTHING! NOTHING AT ALL!" said Penny/Popsicley
"Uh... are you sure? You're getting kinda... melted-" said Shelly, she was interrupted.
"NO! NO, NOTHING IS WRONG, SHELL! M-MIND YOUR OWN BUSINESS!" said Penny/Popsicley
"Fine... jeez." said Shelly
Penny was really worried... what was happening to her? She wasn't normally this rude... was she?
Was she?
WAS SHE?
