All Rock and No Paper

Could you believe that Ricardo and Saniya are both stuck in the cold? I can, I've known that for over a month!

They sure haven't been there for a month though, rather, it's only been a few hours.

The longest few hours of their existence sadly.

Being left in the freezing cold, knowing some sort of affront to nature is hunting you down, it tends to make people feel a wide range of emotions. Afraid, miserable, but worst of all...

Mad.

Currently, they are both arguing to each other.

"Look at where we are! The others are most likely dead! I FUCKING hate you! We are dead men walking because of you!" said Saniya

"Oh well FUCK ME for wanting my daughter back! Don't put all the blame on me, you were the one who ran out of ammo! This is all your fucking fault..." said Ricardo

"We lost our best friends because of you... if we don't die here I'll make sure you don't live to see another day myself..." said Saniya

What a quarrelsome bunch. They argue so much, they fail to notice what's approaching them...

The TV is finding it all too easy now. Saniya has her back towards it, it uses one of its wires to cut through her stomach like scissors against paper.

Ricardo, knowing he can't save her, and the fact that she just gave him a death threat, runs off without trying to help. Not that he would be of much assistance anyway.

Saniya, however, doesn't want to go out that easily. She uses her emptied weapon and starts beating down on the TV, trying to break its exterior. Her resilience is hard and set in stone. However, like paper covers up stone, using her own protective clothing to suffocate her turned out to be an easy way of preventing her from becoming a threat.

The TV uses the window of opportunity to really set her in stone, the TV flashes a dull grey light in her eyes, and she starts to transform.

Her body becomes skinnier and skinnier, like extreme weight loss. Out of her head two metallic rings suddenly burst out, connected to her skull.

"GET OFF ME! LEAVE ME ALOOONE!" said Saniya, her skin turning to metal.

Her body splits into two, only being connected by a single joint above her head. Her limbs and eyes darken out and become a pitch black shade.

She still tries to fight, she has a lot of strength in her reserves, but like how scissors beat paper, and paper beats rock, we all know what beats scissors.

The TV grabs a large rock off of the ground, and bashes her in the head with it.

She immediately goes unconscious, not even able to live to feel her mind being altered into one of someone just as bitter and resentful as her.

The TV sucks up this new creature, sending it to a world of things it will see as familiar.

What is the TV thinking? "This is easier than I expected!" It thought. It thought that Ricardo's group would actually prove to be a tough opponent, but as it appears, their weakness was within their relationship all along.

It shouldn't be too hard now, the TV can just find Ricardo and make him into something better, just follow his footprints like the last few times, not too har-

But then.

The TV sees something.

Something that looks very threatening.

Something that looks unnatural.

Something that really doesn't like the TV.

And it's going straight to where Ricardo is going.

Ricardo had been running for quite a while, but at this point it was too hard to see what was ground and what wasn't.

It was almost as if he had an issue with his eyes, specks of snow flying around his vision making it impossible to see 3 feet in front of him.

It was over.

The blizzard was going to kill him, he would die of hypothermia.

There's nothing he can d-

Wait.

He looks in the distance.

Behind his obvious footprints, he sees something.

What the TV just saw.

Whereas it saw this thing as a threat, Ricardo sees it as something else.

He opens his mouth to speak.

"Are those headlights?"
