"BREAKING NEWS!"

That's right, a News Chapter, and from what I hear today they have a very important broadcast that needs to be shared...

A thousand or so people from all around the world tuned in everyday to watch what was on the news... usually they'd talk about the latest trends or important politics but today now we have to hear what really matters...

Something that could change the course of history... their very livelihood... something DANGEROUS!!!

And on that day, everyone tuned in and heard the most important  thing they would ever hear...

"Breaking news! Today we have something most important to tell you... listen carefully to this broadcast because it could potentially save your life..."

People at home began to pay their closest attention to their televisions, wanting to hear what was so important. They never expected what would come next...

"We have reports of Mayor Corrickson's son BREAKING his leg at the city cheese wheel rolling contest just now."

Absolutely devastating this news was, how was anyone gonna go on knowing that an innocent person injured themselves over cheese... what are we gonna do...

"In other news, a decently large mechanical creature is roaming around town destroying buildings and crushing people."

The video feed cuts to a field reporter at a ruined workshop, standing in front of a large, writhing mass of wires, gears and clockwork.

"Mitch, I am standing here as authorities try to gain a better understanding of what exactly this creature is and what it is doing here."

The authorities are definitely doing one hell of a good job, as the camera pans to show them poking it with a stick. As they do this, the writhing begins to increase in frequency.

"More importantly, our town mayor, Beatrice O. Corrickson, has came to discuss the nature of this incident."

The camera pans, and sure as hell it shows the fattest mayor you've ever seen. We are talking like a Mayor Shelbourne ULTRA.

He is holding a chicken sandwich, and takes a bite out of it before speaking. "Alright, people, I can assure you that whatever is happening here is probably just some idiot engineer trying to make a car or... i don't know something stupid like that, and there are way more important things to talk about, like my son, my poor poor son. who broke his leg at the cheese wheel contest just today." He starts wheezing.

"Oh, um, actually, we were about to cover that after this." The giant metal blob starts shaking with pressure.

"Good. Switch to that because everyone needs to know the truth about what happened to my poor, poor boy. It's a direct order from the mayo-" BANG!!!

That metal blob, it wasn't what you thought it was...

Like how a caterpillar makes a cocoon, the TV did the same thing somehow.

By rapping itself, a bunch of metal components and several extremely hot objects inside an artificial cocoon, it was able to melt and fuse with all the other melted metal into a newer being.

Unlike how butterflies show the wonders and joy of mother nature...

What the TV had became will show the world the unnatural horrors of machinery and artificial intelligence.

Out from the wiring emerged a much more bigger version of TV, now with wings... that's it?

The mayor interrupts the scene. "Is that some kind of ugly bu-" He wouldn't get to finish his insult.

For the TV shines a light brighter than 53 stars right at the mayor, and his flesh melted away... and transformed into something much more.

The mayor melted away, in front of terrified adults and children just watching the news, into... a giant chicken?

"Mitch, Mayor Corrickson appears to have been turned into a giant chicken by this strange mechanical entity."

Before anyone gets to do anything more, TV, like some sort of alien spaceship, sucks up the giant chicken into its screen and flies away, hissing and smoking.

Everyone, the authorities, the field reporter, are just left standing there stunned until...

"So, uh... does anyone wanna hear about the cheese wheel competition?"

Everyone wanted to hear about the cheese wheel competition.
