We had absolutely no Ricardo last chapter, so let's see what he's up to...

Ricardo was forced by Oriana to help her organisation destroy the TV. We know that already, and usually they would send out people to try and find the TV, but it was already done for them.

Oriana brought Ricardo into her office. "Well, shit, we don't even need to do a search or anything, the TV is on the news!" she said, turning on the TV. A news broadcast showing the events of Up Next... unfold. Afterwards, Ricardo turns to talk to her. "Ok? What do I do about it?"

Oriana looks at him like he just threatened her mother. "Are you fucking daft? We're sending you out to fight that thing!"

Ricardo looks worried. "All alone!?"

"No not all alone, Alan and some of our other operatives Xanthous and Braxton will come with you." said Oriana

"Will... will it at least help in bringing my daughter back?" said Ricardo

"No. Now get the fuck out of my office"

The TV was not that hard to find, in fact, it led them straight to it. There was a thick cloud of greenish grey smoke in the sky, where it was.

Nobody else had came for it, likely out of either fear or because of the TV being high up in the mountains during a snowstorm.

As they walked up the mountain, Ricardo wanted to take some time to get to know these other operatives...

"So... uh... I hope I'm not the only one who thinks this sucks, right?"

He heard a lot about how the military can be cruel and have no humour whatsoever, but this isn't much of a military, is it?

Instead, they actually started agreeing with him. 

Xanthous said "I hate that little bitch Oriana always killing us and threatening us to do exactly what she says..."

Maybe he could get along with these people... they were all like him, forced into this organisation by that bitch...

They would've talked more but now they were here... or so they thought.

The smoke was coming out of a cave in the mountain. The TV must have set up residency here! They proceeded inside, making sure not to breathe in the fumes.

Ricardo started to get mad just at the thought of that stupid TV... it took his daughter away from him! He and the others hear the telltale sounds of TV static and get ready to advance.

It was something, let me tell you. The inside of this cave chamber was lined with metallic wire in web structures, lined with several sacs of metal resembling bug eggs. This... thing... can reproduce???

None of them noticed that their enemy was hiding in plain sight... a long wire appendage reached down and grabbed Alan, the others noticed and tried to pull him free, but it was too late, he was dragged upwards into the darkness, never to be seen again...

The transformation was unorthodox, and done like how a spider would do it.

Alan was wrapped in metal string, grating at his skin as he tried to wiggle free. Oriana had made him face worse deaths but this hurt like holy hell...

He was entirely wrapped up by the new TV, some sort of butterfly-spider imitator. TV put a wire over the wrapped up Alan and secreted a form of acidic substance into his prison.

It melted his skin, melted at it until he became something else, something worse.

The sac burst open and revealed...

An arcade machine?

It was like other objects but much more disoriented and confused, being transformed by a bug isn't very healthy or something, apparently. The TV sucked up Arcade Machine, not knowing what would happen as a result of this...

But it will cause some problems, let me tell you.
