you were soon my spouse
not for long

we danced through the park
you really left a mark
those caramel eyes
and that goddamn smile
i wish i could say you were mine
you left me standing alone
it was all so sudden
guess you've flown too
where have you gone?
at the crack of dawn
i waited for you
you never came back
a glimpse of happiness
you filled me up with laughter
now i'm filled with tears and pain
i wish i could restrain
but you left a stain
on my heart
and i can't ever remove it
you took away my soul
walked out the door
carrying my heart in one hand
and the other, your bags
i'm scarred and heartbroken
i knew when it was too late
that i loved you
i loved you then, i love you now
always have and always will
