Birds chirping all around me
So full of life
Sitting on this park bench
Actually happy today
It's becoming my safe place
My space where I can just think and just be myself
I don't have to worry what others think
Here I don't give a shit
Here with the wind swirling around my hair
I think this is what I needed from day one
No one can bother me here
No crowds
Not a single person in sight
My heart isn't pounding out of my chest
I am no longer shaking
I am free here
The sky reminds me I'm not alone
And sometimes the sun keeps me warm
But even when the sun isn't here to warm me up
This place alone helps heal my scars
It's a bit chilly
But I can handle it
The sun is on the side of my back
It's igniting my spark
The flame I thought I lost along time ago when I was just a young girl
I thought I was losing it
Maybe that was just my mind
Here I can feel at peace
With the trees and no one to bother me
Here I can smile and embrace what nature has to offer
