(Amy's POV)Staring out the window down at the cliff side, I try my best to curb the dark thoughts that swarm around in my mind. The jagged rocks below calling out to me as the sun begins its descent behind the horizon. With a huff I sit down on the cold black marble floor, and I look over at some of the unopened christmas presents from yesterday.
As if the lavish gifts could make up for the shit Jake has put me through, especially after our rough travel to whatever country he has taken me. He threw me from a car to a plane, to another car, to another plane just to get shoved into a car for a long drive to this mansion. Those few days felt like weeks, getting farther from my family with every mile. At the very least this bedroom is nice, an expensive cell for his prisoner. My crime? Not loving a monster like him.
I lift up my head at the sound of my bedroom door opening. Three women walk in abruptly breaking me from my thoughts.
"It's almost time to start getting ready," Ceci says as she brushes her dark brown hair behind her ear with a soft smile.
"The owner of this home will be returning this evening, and has requested your presence at dinner tonight," Dee adds without looking up from her phone.
Bella fips her hair annoyed as she walks over to lean against a wall.
"At least come, and get something to eat," Ceci urges me worriedly as she looks at my skinny frame. Which has only been exacerbated since I've been here. I don't reply.
"The Americana is too much coward to dine with us, come on girls we must get things started downstairs," Bella scoffs turning on her heel, and walking out of the room.
The other two follow her, and once I'm alone a new feeling emerges from me. The patriotism that lays within most americans has me standing from the bed, and walking into the bathroom. Determined to prove that 'bottle blonde' Bella wrong.
After a long hot bath I walk into the closet surrounded by a sea of red clothes. I run my hands along the racks until my fingers land on a soft material. I pull the oversized sweater off the hanger before putting it on. Opening a few drawers I take out some underwear, and a pair of black velvet shorts. Once I'm dressed I walk back out into the bedroom almost jumping out of my skin at the sight of the two ladies standing in the room.
"Oh, you've changed already," Ceci says with an apologetic smile. "Well, this is Maria she will help you with your hair, and makeup."
"Thanks but I can do it myself."
"Oh, there's nothing actually inside the vanity," she explains. "Don't worry you'll look beautiful."
