(Amy's POV )
With the armchair facing the balcony I stare out at the forest as I sulk, and think about everything that has happened these past months. Jake found me pinned under Marco's dead body naked, and covered in his blood. Apparently Marco had a note on him from me, which is why he created a reason for the guards to be busy so he could break into my room that night. However I didn't write that note...
Since then Jake keeps his eye extra close on me. He had a room built on next to his office with a two way mirror, and sound proofing. I go in there while he works now just me , my reflection, and God know what he is doing on the other side. It's not too bad there is a couch, a T.V., and a few things to keep me busy.
But now... Today is the wedding. I had hoped it would have been forgotten with all that transpired. Unfortunately that not the case, like it or not I'm getting married today.
Well... Dahlia is. That's the new alias I was given with a birth certificate, a passport, and everything. Jake feels like it's for the best that I embrace a new identity, it will help keep me safe, and help me accept my new life. He let me look at social media one day for a brief moment so I could see my family in america... David has moved on dating some new woman, not that I blame him. In fact it is for the best, I can never go back, I'm not the same anymore, plus it would cause so much confusion, and heartbreak. After today I'll be living as Dahlia Anderson.
I sit here in my bathrobe waiting for my overbearing wedding planner, Ceci. She has planned basically everything for today, and should be returning soon to get me. As the thought cross my mind a knock sounds at the door; speak of the devil.
"Good, you're ready. Let's go Maria is ready for you," Ceci says opening the door, and beckoning me.
We head downstairs, and she leads me into one of the back rooms with a few things set up. A wedding dress on a mannequin, a vase of roses, shoes, the ruby necklace, some matching hair pins, a veil, and a chair for me to sit in front of Maria. With a deep breath I walk over, and sit down. Accepting that this is Jake's way of protecting me, showing everyone that I am under his protection. Finding peace in knowing that one day I will find my freedom in death.
As Maria finishes my makeup Bella, and Dee walk in to the room."Our car is here," Dee tells Ceci.
"Okay," she replies before turning back to me. "So is there anything else you need before I go?"
"A drink, please."
"Another?" Bella scoffs under her breath.
"Okay, just one. You need to be able to walk," she half laughs awkwardly.
