(Chuck's POV )

*1987*

I set down my newspaper trading it with the table in front of me for a sip of my cup of coffee. That's when a flash of red comes walking out of a business a few doors down from where i'm sitting outside a cafe. A stunning blonde woman in a red business dress  walks with a purse, clipboard, and a few tubular drawing cases fumbling to get her beeping pager out. I stand quickly walking over to assist her.

"Here let me help you," I say offering to hold some of her things.

"Umm,  sure. Thanks," she smiles handing me her clipboard, and cases.

She takes out the noisy device from her purse checking the code.

"Fantabulous," she says happily. " Looks like I just booked a new client. Thanks, I'll take that back my car is right over there."

"Say what kind of work do you do? An artist?" I ask trying to maintain a conversation with her.

"Oh, where are my manners? I'm Rebecca Jenkins I'm an interior designer biased here in Duskwood. But I work in the surrounding jurisdictions too."

" Wow I've been needing a professional like you. I bought some land out near Kabetogama. The house was just recently done being built. But now I have this big empty house with no idea what color to paint anything or what to put inside. It's been empty besides my bed for three weeks, the place is a total blank canvas," I explain with a smile. "You ever do work out that ways?"

"Well, not very often. There isn't many people out that way, but luckily for you.. uhh," she says.

"Charles Anderson, but you can call me Chuck."

"Well Chuck, luckily I'll do it for you since you've helped me," her smile widens. "Here take my card, and give me a call. We can go from there, sound good?"

"Sounds perfect," I say taking the card from her our fingers brush against each other.

Just like that part one of my plan has been accomplished, and I watch with a smile as she waves politely goodbye before getting in her car to pull off.

She's perfect maybe she could be the one. A woman in my life to make me look, and feel more... human.
