(Lia's POV )
Five months later.
"That's for everything Emma," I say to the young lady as she picks up her things to leave.
"No, thank you so much Ms. Dunn. For this opportunity to work with you, perhaps we can do something else in the feature. Just give me a call."
"Maybe..." I ponder. "We'll talk after I've seen this through."
"Very well," she nods politely before walking out the exit door.
I walk around the empty building, and grab my things from the back office before locking up. I walk to the nearest bus stop, and sit down on the bench as I wait. As I make my way through Amsterdam I send a few texts to Eric updating him on the exciting events that took place at work today. He doesn't answer yet, probably preparing hay for the cows while they too are away.
I get off at my stop, and start walking in the direction of the room I rent out of a small apartment. There was a listing online of a couple looking for a roommate, and I replied to it just needing a place for the summer. Their names are Noa, and Adriaan. Noa owns a small hair salon with an apartment upstairs. Adriaan was a partner in a local restaurant but his partner stole money, and drove the business into the ground. That's why they decided they needed a roommate, to help with the cost of living while he was getting back on his feet looking for a new job.
I walk down the street past many different people, and businesses until I reached the little business on the corner. I open the glass front door, and step inside taking off my sunglasses with a big smile.
"Lia, Luv I'm just finishing up with this client. Then you can tell me all about, what's got you so full of beans," Noa says from one of the haircutting stations.
I walk over to an empty chair, and sit down while she handles her business. My phone buzzes, and I look down reading a text from Eric.
'That's amazing to hear, Congrats. Send me pictures I'd love to see how it turned out. Fido, and I had a long day baling hay.'
Attached is a video of Fido rolling in some hay on the ground goofily. I send a reply before turning my attention to Noa as she waves goodbye to her client.
"So, how was your day Luv?" She asks walking over to me.
"It was great, exciting things happening,"I say.
"Do tell."
"Oh, just finishing a project is so satisfying. Along with other things, but let's wait till Adriaan gets back. I'm just in such the mood to celebrate," I explain without saying to much.
"Is that why you had me pen you in for a cut, and a colour?"
"Yes," I say pulling the clip from my hair for her.
"I'll have Adriann pick up a bottle for us on his way home. What do you have in mind?"
"Prefect... Some layers, don't take too much length off."
"What about colour?"
I've had time to really ponder this decision.
