Chapter Twenty

Sia was in her room when she felt someone knocking on her window. She looked towards it and got scared. It was one o' clock at night, who will be knocking at her window at this time. She thought of calling her brothers or security but the intruder started opening the window. She picked up a vase and went near the window to attack the intruder.

As the intruder landed in her room she picked up the vase to hit him but she was quickly disarmed. Her light brown eyes clashed with green ones. She widened her eyes as she realised it was her Ru. "Ru ap yaha kya kar rhe ho?" she asked as she checked for any injuries on him. She felt relieved when she found none.

Anirudh stared at the beauty in front of him. In the dimly lit room, the moonlight was casting a halo glow on her making it an ethereal sight for him. He could live rest of his life in this moment. "Ru kya hua? Ap yaha kaise? Aur wo bhi meri window se kyu?" she asked him as she saw him staring at her intently. Truth to be told, she never saw him as her brother like Khushi. Yes she felt protected and safe with him but not like in a brotherly way.

"I had to meet you before I leave" he told her in his deep baritone. She shivered under his touch, "Leave? Kaha ja rhe hai ap?" she questioned him. Since she met him, there was an aura around which screamed danger but also a strange sense of pride and respect. "Sia I have to leave for a mission. I work for the government and I'm a secret agent" he told her gravely. It was never easy to break the news.

She gasped as she heard this, she knew her Ru would do something big in his life. But she wasn't ready for this, she just met him after so long. "Ru yeh sab kya bol rhe hai ap? Please mat jaiye na. I need you" she pleaded with him. His heart was breaking seeing his Sia crying and pleading with him. This is what he was scared of. No she won't get any closer to him. They can't afford this.

"Sia for me my country comes first, Even before my family. I can't promise you anything but know one thing. You will always be under my protection. I will be there for you till my last breath. You are one of the most important person in my life. I know what you feel for me but we can't be together for many reasons. You are Ashi's bestfriend. And above that I don't have any guarantee over my life. I don't know if I'll come back" he told her as he cupped her face.

"Ru pyaar ese keh dene se khatam nai hojata. Meine apse tab se pyaar kiya jab mujhe iska matlab bhi nai pta tha. Mujhe pta hai ap apne desh keliye jaan se bhi khel sakte hai. Aur ye jankar mei apko rokhungi nai. Mei aur mera pyaar swarthi nai hai. Mei apka intezar karungi. I know you will come back to me. You are all I need. And your Ashi she understands us, sabse zyada apko ye pta hona chaiye ki apki Ashi apke aur mere dil ki baat sabse pehle jan leti hai. Use pta hai sab kuch bina humare kahe hi" she told him as she kissed his forehead.

"This is our start not our end. You are coming back to me Ru. Meri galti ki wajase hum itne saal dur rhe hai ab aur nai" she promised him. "Thik hai Sia yeh mera wada hai ki mei wapas aunga. Tum tab tak apna aur Ashi ka khyal rakhna. Mujhe pta hai wo bahut strong hai par wo sab kuch apne andar chupa ke rakhi hai" he gingerly told her. "Ap bas apne mission pe dhyan dijiye baki mein hu" she told him as they pressed their foreheads.

"Ab mujhe jana hoga. Mei jata hu" he told her as he started to leave but before he could leave, she launched herself at him. She hugged his back and took his comfort. And slowly started retreating back as she saw him leaving in the dark shadows.

Next Day

Khushi woke reluctantly as she was rudely woken up from her slumber. God her Durga Maa is cruel to ruin her beauty sleep. She huffed and got down but as she kept her legs she instantly felt a wince. She slapped her head, she keeps forgetting about her leg. She with great difficultly moved towards her washroom. When she took a look at him, she found herself staring at him. It was huge and magestic. In fact this entire mansion was majestic, due to yesterday's commotion she couldn't appreciate this beauty.
