Chapter Nineteen

Khushi came to find Anirudh, she knew he would be hurt. She found him sitting near the garden, with his head in his hands. She knew he was blaming himself for everything and it's time she addressed it properly.

"Dada" she called him and looked at her. But he wasn't even looking at her. It was like he looked through her and she knew what it was like. She sat down beside him and started talking, "You know when I called you Dada for the first time I knew you would always protect me and be there for me and with me. And you never failed me" she told him softly. "No Ashi I failed to protect you and Sia" he cried. Her heart was hurting listening to his cries but she had to steel her heart. She needed to be strong for him.

"Nahi Dada you didn't fail anyone. In fact you saved me from myself. When I felt like everything ended at that time you were there as a rock for me. I know what happened with Siu shook you. But you also know she did all that to protect us. If you and me were in her position we would have done the same thing. No one could have known about what happened" she made him understand.

"But Ashi mereko pta tha Sister Amelia didn't like her. I should have protected her" he protested. In his mind, he still blamed himself for her condition. "Did you know that she was operating a trafficking racket under everyone's nose? Did you know she would attack her? No right then how is it fair for you to take the blame? And if we see then I'm also to blame. I couldn't save her. I left her" she cried. "Na Ashi you were a child and you didn't know anything. You couldn't have anticipated anything" he consoled her.

"Then ap kyu apne ap ko kos rhe ho? Jo hua wo bohot galat hua. But ab dekho na Sia ke pas ek parivar hai jo usse kitna pyaar krta. You know she always wanted this. We couldn't give that to her but they did. They were there for her when we weren't" she told him while tears were flowing from her eyes. He hugged her tightly and cried. Unknown to them a pair of eyes were watching them.

Sia was standing and watching as her Ru was breaking down. She couldn't do anything about it and just hurt him like everyone. She remembered how he managed to make her smile without even doing anything. She heard the one person who made her smile.

Flashback starts

Sia was sitting sadly thinking if she had her mumma and dada. Their memories were very foggy for her. But she knew they loved her with everything. Suddenly she saw a sunflower in front of her. Anirudh kept the flower he brought for her.

"Sia yeh mote mote aansu kyu nikal rhe hai?" he asked while wiping her tears. "Ru aj mumma dada hote toh kitna accha hota na" she told him with a frown. Anirudh also became sad remembering his mummy and papa but he needed to bring the smile back on Sia's face.

"Buddhu wo toh hai na humare pas dekho flowers and air mei. Feel kro jaise Maa ne sikhaya hai hume" he put the sunflower in her hand. He knew that was her favourite flower. It was just like her, sunshine. Sia saw the flower an gave him a watery smile. He can always make her smile no matter what.

Flashback Ends

She missed her Ru but knew she lost him. "Itna miss kr rhi ho toh batati kyu nai deti?" she heard a voice saying. "Nai bata sakti Di. I lost him" she told Aarvi. Aarvi looked at her youngest and her heart went out to her. She has seen how much the girl has gone through.

"If you love someone, you never lose them" she told her softly. Sia looked at her with wide eyes. "Yes Siu love. I know you love him. It's clear in your eyes. Tell him that. Abhi wo bohot hurt hua hai but talk to him okay" she told her and left her to her thoughts.

On the others hand two brothers were battling their own thoughts. Abhimaan and Adwait were thinking about what conspired between Sia and Anirudh. They saw something in both their eyes and it raised questions in their heads.
