Chapter Twenty Six

Sia was sleeping when she heard some sounds, she knew what it was. Or more precisely who it was. She went and opened the window to let him in. She knew he will need her today the most. After every thing, he will need her and she will be with him.

Anirudh came inside her room and saw her waiting for him. She looked at him with her beautiful smile. She was the one person who could provide her with unwavering support. Whenever he was falling short, she stood beside him. He saw her calling her him to her and just lunged in her embrace.

After his Maa, she was the one who he could be vulnerable. It was not easy to support every one but he had to for their sake. For his family. Sia felt him crying and shaking. She let him as she knew he needed to let it out.

She knew he would have been there for his siblings but who was there for him. "Ru ro lo aj nai rokungi" she softly said and it did numbers on her. He hugged and cried and cried. And that's how they spent their night together giving each other solace.

Khushi was sleeping when she saw those memories. Those ones which often haunted her. They make her question her sanity.

She suddenly felt someone calling out to her, but she was in a haze she couldn't come out of it. She was screaming at this point "Please leave me I'm sorry" but they weren't listening. They were mercilessly torturing her. Soon she felt someone embraced her in their arms.

She felt safe and something she never felt, she opened her eyes and saw a pair of gray eyes was looking at her. It held warmth and care, like no did. She looked at it and tried to touch the person but soon she she fainted because of her exhaustion.

The person cursed when he saw her fainting, he knew what she was not a nightmare but he couldn't do anything. He heard her ear piercing screams and yet couldn't comfort her. He needed to save her from all her monsters. No one deserved to go through what she did.

He quietly laid her down caressed her face, she looked so ethereal. So peaceful, nothing like the tortured soul she was few moments ago. He sat beside her and fell asleep holding her hands.

Next Day

Kairav, Kartik and Kavin were seated in the shared living space. Each of them in their own thoughts when two people arrived, Anirudh and Adwait. Although how they arrived was pretty weird. Anirudh came from outside and Adwait from upstairs. "Ani where were you?" Kartik asked him. "I went for a morning jog. Good morning to you all" he wished everyone.

Adwait also came downstairs and saw everyone looking at him weird, "Wo Bhai I came to meet Kairav yesterday raatko. Wo tha nai so I decided to crash here only" he told them. He knew no one would question him as they have done that many times.

"Um Ani I wanted to thank you for what you did yesterday" Kartik called out to him. He knew he had to thank Anirudh for putting sense into him. Kavin and Kairav looked at him in surprise, and then at Anirudh. They knew that he must have spoken to them just like he did with each of them.

"No need. I told you, you are my brothers. So it's my duty show you the right path when you deviate from it" he replied casually. "By the where is Khushi? How is she?" Adwait asked all of them. The brothers looked at each other guiltily when Anirudh softly smiled at some one behind them.
