"And I'm glad to have him by my side."

Beatrice and Thomas walked side by side, strolling through the quiet park illuminated by the soft glow of street lamps. The city around them buzzed with life, but the park held a peaceful, almost dreamlike atmosphere. The evening breeze gently rustled the leaves of the trees, carrying with it the scent of fresh flowers. They both cherished this rare moment together, far from the racetracks and the crowds that surrounded them during the day.

Thomas led Beatrice to one of the benches beneath a tall tree. When they sat down, they spent a few moments in silence, gazing up at the night sky. The moon shone high above, and the stars twinkled like diamonds on a velvet-black canvas.

"This is such a beautiful place," Beatrice said after a while, breaking the silence. Her voice was soft and calm, as if she didn't want to disturb the moment.

"Yeah," Thomas nodded, smiling at her. "I wanted to take you somewhere quiet, and I remembered our evening walk. After today, we both deserved it."

Beatrice looked at him gratefully, their eyes meeting for a moment. "Today was... incredible," she said after a pause. "I think I'm still in shock over what happened. When you broke that world record... I don't even know how to describe it." She dreamed of breaking a world record one day too, but in diving, world records were much harder to surpass—it was a different kind of challenge.

Thomas laughed, his voice quiet and relaxed. "Neither do I," he admitted. "It was all like a blur. But when I finished the race and saw those numbers... That was a moment I'll never forget. And knowing you were there with me gave me the courage."

Beatrice smiled at him, feeling warmth in her heart. "I was incredibly proud of you, Tommy. And I still am. It was something extraordinary."

Thomas fell silent for a moment, as if pondering what to say. Finally, he gathered the courage to voice what had been on his mind. "Birdie, I know these past few days have been intense. And I think we've both changed. I feel like something is happening between us... something special."

Beatrice looked at him, her heart beating a little faster. She had sensed this coming, but it still surprised her how openly Thomas expressed it. "Yes, Tommy," she nodded quietly. "I feel it too. But at the same time, I don't know what to do about it. It's new, unfamiliar."

Thomas smiled at her, his eyes full of understanding. "I don't know what to do about it either," he admitted. "But I think we shouldn't ignore it. Maybe we should just let things flow and see where it takes us."

Beatrice nodded, feeling the tension in her shoulders slowly easing. It was comforting to know that there was no pressure, that they could let things unfold naturally. "You're right," she agreed. "I think it's best to let it take its course. Whatever that might mean."
