Whitney:
Whitney had given a big sigh of relief that she was able to return to her normal body after being stuck in the Fantasy world for like... two weeks or so? It had been a couple days since they returned so she just wanted to resume a bit of a normal life before returning. Though, clearly she didn't want that much of a normal life because today she was going to go and visit Noa at her house. However, she said she would do it. She dressed casually, but still in a rather neat fashion. Once she reached Noa's house, she knocked on the door. How she would act and introduce herself honestly depended on who showed up at the door.
Noa:
Being back in the real world was a little... less cool than the fantasy world, at least visually.. but in Noa's mind it's pretty much all the same thing anyway.. she just didn't have any cool weapons. Bummer. She mostly kept her usual routines, which.. had hardly changed in the fantasy world anyway. So she was feeling pretty comfy... but also excited !! -because her comrade was going to come visit her today!! -At her house!! No one ever did that, so she was pretty.. pumped to say the least. For most of the day, Noa had been eagerly awaiting her friend's arrival, hardly able to focus on anything else. Ears were constantly perked, just awaiting a sound at the door.
Finally, it did happen, she heard !! a knock!! Wow that must be her comrade Wya- ...Whitney. yes. that was her name in this realm. She had to make herself remember that. The Pikachu ran to the door and swung it open so fast it couldve created a gust of wind. "A-ah, Whitney you have arrived at my headquarters for this realm." She greeted, trying to get back to her 'cool' aura. Her way of getting the door was too childishly excited to mask, though, and her wagging tail gave it all away. "Allow me to test you to be.. sure it is definitely you!!!" Noa didn't even give the Delphox a moment to respond, before jumping on her with ..great enthusiasm.
Whitney:
Whitney flinched as the door shot open. It seemed like Noa was in her usual role playing self when she greeted her, so Whitney decided she'd act in character once again. She smirked and gestured her hand. "Indeed I have, it's nice to see you agai- wait what?" One blink later, and she found herself on the grass with Noa on top of her. She blushed and let out a quick gasp, embarrassing herself in the process. "O-oh, hello! Quite an interesting way to greet me!" She let out, completely breaking her character in the process. Whitney wiggled gently, trying to figure out how to get Noa off of her without being too rough. She never had somebody this close to her like this before. She had no other choice but to look up at Noa and see that face of hers. At closer inspection, Noa looked really cute, despite all of her crazy antics. Her hair was so curly and playful.... Whitney almost even felt like wanting to touch it. She could feel her heart pounding a few times. This was stupid, why was she even thinking like this. "W-we're awfully close to one another right now." Whitney muttered out.
Noa:
"Ah, well, you caught me the same way you did in your other form.. so It must really be you!" Noa crossed her arms and gave a 'cool' satisfied nod. She felt Whitney wiggle, and looked down at her. "Hmm?" Clueless to the position they were now in, she just looked at her confusedly. What's the big deal she's just sitting on her. "..Yeah I guess we are...?" One of her ears twitched, "Is this your weakness...!? Being tackled?!" Noa interrogated her, leaning forward with a curious look. "I will keep it a secret for you. Not to worry my friend."she assured Whitney, before crawling off of her and jumping back to her feet. "I can protect you..! No one will get close to you with me keeping guard.. heheheheh..." she finished, and made.. a rather devious look.
Whitney:
After Noa got off of Whitney, she began to squint. "Great." She muttered to herself. Noa wasn't going to let that one down, was she? Standing back up, Whitney dusted herself off. "I feel very safe knowing that now, thank you." Yeah right, she was safe from everyone BUT Noa. "Well, should we go inside now? I wouldn't imagine we're going to stay outside here all day." She said as an attempt to laugh off what had just happened. "I'm curious to see what kind of stuff you have in your room anyways."
Noa:
Noa brightened up into a childish smile." Yeah !!!! Y-You should come in..!!" she grabbed Whitney's hand without hesitation and pulled her inside with her. In a bizarre change of pace for Noa, she then quietly and gently closed the door behind them. Much different than how she had opened it. When she turned back to Whitney, she provided an explanation anyway. "....My elder sibling is the only other one here at the moment. Unlike myself, she is a true bringer of.. darkness and hell... If I am too loud.. she will surely bring down the wrath of a thousand gods onto me." she spoke with what seemed like genuine fear, but who really knows with her. "uhh You wanted to see my quarters..?" Noa's ears dropped ever so slightly, seemingly a bit bashful of the idea. "You.. will be the first outsider to do so! Come!!" she excitedly grabbed Whitney's hand again and dragged her with her down the hall to where her bedroom was. Most of the house was rather average, somewhat tidy, modestly decorated, what you'd expect really. As soon as one entered through the doorway to Noa's room though, the entire aura was flipped around. Sure you could walk through it, but it was cluttered and busy with all kinds of ..crap really. Toys, random objects that just 'looked cool', books.. and her walls were covered in posters. It was like walking into the room of a 13 year old that couldn't decide if they loved Disney or Hot Topic better. "What do you think then?~ You wanted to see." She puffed out her chest and put her hands on her hips as she said this, sporting a confident grin. This was her.. collection.. of things of course.
Whitney:
Seemed like if there was anyone that didn't take Noa's shit, it was her older sister. Yikes. I guess it's best that they avoid her sister at all costs. Though, it didn't seem to be much of an issue as they were able to get to Noa's room without encountering her. She wasn't exactly thrilled that she was led here by hand, but she'll allow it for now. Arriving at her room, Whitney really had to take in just how much of a mess it was. Her room was always so clean and tidy and this.... this was like arriving in some sort of hot topic Disney world dungeon. It took her a moment to figure out an answer for Noa's question. "Well, I'll certainly say that you have quite the passion for decorating your room." She nodded. "That's a good thing~" Walking inside, she decided to take a bit more of a closer inspection. "Yeah, you sure do have a lot of stuff. I'm impressed. So do you wanna do anything together? Any games or maybe have chit chats or something? Maybe you've got some sort of secret dimension you'd be willing to show your secret buddy here?" She joked.
Noa:
Noa's tail wagged immediately faster at Whitney's reply, and a big childish smile grew on her face. "Hehehee.... I think lots of artifacts need to be protected and cherished, so I keep them here. There are many treasures hidden away here." She nodded with confidence. -Wooah? Whitney was impressed? She took it totally literally and somehow managed to brighten up even more. "Hehe Really?? ufufu.." her red cheeks turned redder, she was so blissfully happy. In an attempt to hide her expression though, she turned and started rummaging through a pile of things in a corner of the room. "Y-Yeah I got all kinds of cool things..!" Noa grabbed something out of the pile of toys she was sifting through and pointed it at Whitney like it was a sword. "Check out this cool sword!" It was actually a foldable umbrella. -and she immediately pressed the button on it, so that it shot open right in front of the other girl. The Pikachu laughed and peeked out from behind the umbrella. "Oh! I don't.. have any portals here to the other dimensions, actually. That is so that this abode stays safe. -I don't fear for The Bringer of Chaos' safety though," she started off, referring to her sister, "-but my guardians cannot defend themselves from the unholy beasts you see." As she finished, she lowered the umbrella and started trying to fold it back up. After trying silently and struggling for a good moment or two, she suddenly spoke up again. " -Ah I do have a summoning circle in the dungeon downstairs though." Noa said it so casually, while not even removing her focus from the umbrella in her hands.
Whitney:
Whitney watched as she pulled something out from her mess of a room only to be confused when she pulled out an umbrella instead of a sword. Before she was able to comment on the matter, Noa shot it open and nearly made Whitney trip and fall on the floor! "That sword seems to double as a shield. That could be very useful, you know!" She replied. Shortly afterwards, Whitney listened in that there was a summoning circle downstairs. Does she even actually want to go down and see this? Well.... she's already gone this far, there's no turning back anymore. "Should we uh... should we go and see that? Or is that too dangerous to go and visit?" .... "Do you need help retracting that?"
Noa:
"h-heh.. yes.. a shield! It is an amazing.. combo-weapon." Noa grinned and let the umbrella go open again. "...Y-Yes.. please." she mumbled and handed the umbrella to Whitney shyly. Trying to, again, recover herself, she turned it into a reason to pick up something else. "Hm? You mean the summoning circle?" Noa asked as she turned her back to Whitney to grab something off her dresser. After fiddling with the item out of sight for a moment, she turned around again, holding a small nerf gun. "-Would you like to see it? The summoning circle? I made it myself. It's quite impressive.. one of my best that I have created. Hehehe." she chuckled, and finished her response off by firing one of the foam darts at Whitney.
Noa:
As Whitney took the umbrella to help close it. As she was doing that, she listened to Noa as she explained her summoning circle. Surely she couldn't actually summon anything, could she? I mean, maybe if they were in the fantasy world they could, but this was the real world, they couldn't do any of that here. Though, before she was able to respond, she jumped at the sound of the nerf gun shooting. "What was that?!?" She let out. Little did Whitney realize, the foam dart landed inside of Whitney's earfluff. She was completely unaware that she now had a foam dart sticking out of her earfluff like a doofus.
Noa:
"FFPFP" Noa snickered and covered her mouth with her hands. Taking a little breath to calm her voice, she pulled her hands away again to speak. "I... It was this..!" She waved the nerf gun around playfully in Whitney's view before shooting it at the ceiling, causing the foam bullet to ricochet off of it and then back to the ground. Noa looked at the foam bullet that Whitney's fur had caught, and giggled again. "Y-You didn't feel it? I shot you with it. Pff..pff.." she put the toy down onto her bed right near them and looked back at Whitney, still trying to keep cool. "Y-Your.. magical barriers are.. so strong.. Its unbelievable I couldn't penetrate them with even this weapon...pf-pffufufufuu"
Whitney:
"W-wha?" Whitney replied in a flustered tone. She felt her earfluff a bit before finding the foam bullet and pulled it out of her earfluff. She then tossed it back to Noa. "Girl, have you seen how thick my earfluff is? There's no way I'd be able to feel it. Feel it for yourself. There is a LOT of it." She said as she brushed her earfluff. "Y'know I get a lot of questions from people on how I can even hear anything. Thankfully, I can hear things. My ears are quite big, you know?" Giggling as she approached the bed, she proceeded to sit down on it and look over at Noa.
Noa:
"Hehehe~" Noa giggled and caught the bullet clumsily. "M-My apologies. It was not my intention.. to aim there. But.. now I know the sheer strength of your defenses!" she changed demeanors a little, shifting back to her cockier self. She listened to Whitney's explanation, and twitched an ear while thinking to herself about it. How did she hear. The answer was probably magic, and Whitney couldn't possibly be going around telling everyone that! -Wait what was that one bit in there? "-Ah, did.. you ..." she looked at her confusedly. "..Are you saying I can touch it? Really???" Noa's eyes sparkled with interest and she did small grabby-hands motions. "Will I gain some of your magic if I do? Can it be transferred that way..!? I.. am very interested.. yes." She pondered to herself out loud. "I will definitely show you my summoning circle, in return..!!!" She was probably going to show her anyway, but if she was going to gain any magic powers through this, she felt like she needed to share.. her magic too.
Whitney:
Whitney nodded. "Yep, that's what I said. You can touch it~" God why was she letting her touch it. "Just, be gentle with it. If you're too rough with it, you just might get cursed. We wouldn't want that, now would we?" Yes, use her own logic against her. Good thinking, Whitney. "It certainly does have some magical properties to it, so, who knows! Give it a feel and you just might get some sort of magic out of it. Then, when you're done, you can show me your summoning circle." Whitney then closed her eyes and allowed Noa to touch her earfluff.
Noa:
"w-woah really..?" Noa was surprised at the offer at all, but a curse!? COOL. No, no, you don't want the curse Noa. She had to remind herself of this. "O-okay, no problem. I already possess one curse, heh, no need for a 2nd one..." She played it off cool, and tried to come off as.. less interested than she really was. As soon as Whitney was completely settled and seemed comfortable with it, the whole thing became.. just.. a bit more embarrassing. Even more so because she closed her eyes. "Umm... w-well okay." The Pikachu reached out a hand and gently petted one big floof, like she was patting a tiny kitten. This was gentle enough right? No curse should come after her if she touched it this softly. She gave a tiny muted gasp, "ooh! I-it is so soft.....hehee" Noa was excited, but tried not to get too rambunctious.. she couldn't really help some of it though, and ended up gently petting the other floof too. "h-heehee~ fluffy~~"
Whitney:
Whitney realized how intimate this was starting to get and it caused her to blush. She seriously didn't intend it to go this way but it was also 100% her fault. She had to think of a plan quickly. Yes... a plan... Heheheh, Noa had fallen into Whitney's trap. She merely closed her eyes to let Noa drop her guard. It was now time to attack. She opened her eyes and instantly jumped in front of Noa's face with her hands waving all over the place. "WOAHAAAAAHA!!! THE CURSE IS GOIN OFF!!" She screamed. Oh wait oh god did her sister hear that? God she hopes not cause otherwise she screwed up AGAIN. They might have to book it to the basement if that's the case.
Noa:
Noa was so peacefully enjoying the pets..!~ so soft~ Her tail was wagging the whole time, it truly was like she was petting a tiny feral. When Whitney suddenly jumped up though, she just about had a heart attack. She screamed back as an automatic response, obviously, and fell backwards onto the floor. Her fur on her ears was all puffed up and she looked up at Whitney with wide eyes. Jeez Whitney, terrifying the poor girl. It didn't even pop into Noa's mind at all that they were being loud, when you get startled like that.. not a lot goes through your mind at all really. The fluffed-up Pikachu looked at Whitney with worried eyes, "R-Really..!? b-but.. I was being so gentle..!" she was rather shaken up, so her usual act was almost non-existent at this point. "I-I'm very sorry..!!! Can you.. get rid of it..!?"
Whitney:
Whitney's eyes opened up in shock when Noa didn't get mad, but rather got really upset and scared. She actually believed she got cursed! "Oh geez I'm sorry sweetie! Here um, one second, I can make it go away." Pointing her one hand at Noa, she snapped her fingers with the other. "Boosh! It's gone. You're safe now, no need to be so worried." She said as she instinctively hugged Noa. "You we're doing fine, the curse just came out unexpectedly, I need to take better control of it, I'm sorry." Darn her wanting to take care of this girl so badly. Now she was back at square one with this intimate stuff.
Noa:
Noa was totally shocked, she did do it properly right..? Looks like Whitney could fix this though, wow she must have strong magic. Noa's ears flopped down slightly .. both from the initial scare and from relief from getting the 'curse' removed. She was caught off guard a little by the sudden hug, but boy did she appreciate getting one! "Really..? S-so I didn't touch too roughly right..??" her voice calmed down and her fur started to settle. "Phew.. th-thank you for fixing it..." Noa thanked the Delphox and gently hugged her back, like a little kid snuggling up to a big soft doggy. Her zigzagged tail wiggled slowly, a tiny tail wag. The Pikachu, still not fully aware of the situation, was enjoying the comforting hug, and totally forgot anything else they had been talking about.
Whitney:
Whitney's big tail thumped behind her as well, poor Noa. Whitney felt so bad for her, like... in a lot of ways. She was such a sweet girl too, not like most edgelords. If anything, Whitney had a feeling that she might really be into all this stuff because she thinks it's what the cool kids are doing. Not that what she likes is wrong, but the reasons she likes these things is for what is a potentially sad reason. Whitney couldn't have that, she needed to make sure Noa was happier about herself, even if she was already acting happy. "Nope, you didn't, it was completely my cures' fault." She replied as she released Noa from the hug. "If you want to try touching it again, I promise it won't go off like that again. But... I don't know if you wanted to show me that summoning circle of yours first. I think that'd be pretty cool to see, right? You gotta show me what it does."
Noa:
Noa brightened up, "Ah..! Youre.. right. The summoning circle. It escaped my mind for a moment!" her tail wagged properly now and she arguably looked less timid almost instantly. "I definitely will show it to you..!" The Pikachu jumped to her feet, making all the accessories and little chains on her clothes jingle all at once. Her usual pep was coming back to her now. Her big ears twitched as she recalled something though, "A-ah .. we.. should be quieter now though. I am.. supremely surprised but also grateful that our commotion did not awaken The Beast." Noa nodded, half to herself, and hopped out of her room and back into the hallway. Striking a dynamic pose that seemed to beckon her friend, she announced -not too loudly-, "Come hither! We shall sneak past the cave of The Darkness Bringer and retreat to the basement dungeon~!"and then she took off down to the end of the hallway, expecting Whitney to (somehow) follow at the same speed that she ran off at.
Whitney:
By the time Whitney was able to get to the hallway, Noa was already gone. "Dammit, Noa." Whitney muttered to herself as she started to aimlessly wander the house to find the basement. Thankfully, the basement couldn't be too hard to find. She opened a pantry or two before finding the door that led to the basement. She started to walk down the staircase as she attempted to look for her friend. "Noa? Are you down here?"
Noa:
"Hehehehe" Noa giggled out of sight. It wasn't particularly dark down there in the basement but she had managed to find a hiding place anyway. " Yep.. I'm down here alright. ~" She suddenly jumped out from behind a couch holding a bigger nerf gun. "Hwaha! Will your barriers be able to deflect this..!?" she announced her attack loudly and fired a bullet at Whitney again. Although the gun was bigger, it really didn't change the speed or impact of the bullets it shot. She was really just playing at this point..
Whitney:
"Bwah!" Whitney let out as she shielded herself with her arms. She was facing forward this time, so the earfluff wasn't going to save her. Regardless, one of the darts managed to bop her right on the nose. It caused her to make an "EEP!" sound. That caused her to laugh. "Oh my gosh, that hit me right on the nose! That was a direct hit!" She continued walking down the steps afterwards. "You're quite the sharpshooter, aren't you?"
Noa:
Noa held her arms in the air triumphantly, "Hehe!!! I practice a lot! Thanks!" putting the gun down, she bounded over to the Delphox. She held Whitney's hand with both of hers and pulled her gently. "Come on, I'll show you my incredible magic summoning circle. You will be so impressed!" She let go of her but lead the way a little bit farther into the basement, where some of it was still unfinished. It was darker here, so one would have to be a little more careful they didn't bump into something or trip and fall. Noa skipped a bit ahead anyway, farther into the unfinished room. She called out in the faint lighting to Whitney. "Hey, hey, you're ready right? Ready to feast your eyes upon my stupendous magic??" Her voice was filled with confidence and it was clear through how quickly she said it, that she was likely more excited about the whole thing than Whitney probably was."
Whitney:
Ho boy, here we go. Whitney thought to herself. Either this was going to be something absolutely ridiculous, or it was going to be absolutely nothing. There was nothing in between with this girl. They certainly were getting to a creepy part of the basement. "I feel like I'm in for a real treat." Whitney replied. "Should I sit down somewhere or how should we go about doing this?" She asked. Her mind ran through many different possibilities this could end up being. She really was not sure what to expect with Noa.
Noa:
"-Oh, no you don't need to do anything special, my friend! You can just wait right where you are. Kekekke" Noa called out and giggled to herself. She shuffled around in the darkness for a minute, and mumbled to herself. "eh, wait where the heck...." "where's the plug..." "oh there it is. -OKAY!" She suddenly shouted and plugged in whatever she was mumbling about... which happened to be a rather long string of red christmas lights that were formed in a circle in the middle of the floor. The lights were lined up along the perimeter of a summoning circle that was crudely drawn on to the unfinished concrete floor in red chalk, with the occasional smudge here and there, showing she'd walked through it a bunch of times. "HEHEHE. What do think of-" Noa started, before suddenly standing up. "Wait! It activated so the summon needs to be there-" She said out loud, not necessarily to Whitney, but definitely loud enough for her to have caught it. The Pikachu stood up and ran to the other side of the room, sifted through a pile of junk in the corner, and then ran back to her summoning circle. She placed a Furby in the middle of the circle, and then ran back to her original spot just outside of it and by the wall. "HAHA! LOOK AT MY MAGIC!" Noa assumed one of her trademark poses, and wore a big cocky grin.
Whitney:
YEP. It was exactly what she thought it was. This girl really loved to play pretend. She wasn't the best at making illusions either. Was she even aware of that? Or was she just able to have fun playing pretend? Maybe it was a bit of both. Whitney shook her head and smiled. She'll play along. "Woaaah!! Incredible! I've heard of that species before." She pointed out. "Those things can be rather demonic. You've summoned quite the beast here! Do you have it under your control? That's quite an impressive level of magic if you do. I don't even think Wyatt can do something like that."
Noa:
Noa remained her in her super-cool-pose until Whitney spoke, then she bounced up and down happily. "HEHE! Thank you. It is quite the compliment coming from one such as yourself.. kekeke" She looked down plainly at the Furby when Whitney commented on it. "-Ah. Yeah. It's a vile, Malicious Hell-spawn. I have summoned it many times, but it doesn't obey me. Just mocks me with it's eerie stare..." Noa narrowed her eyes at the toy as she finished talking, as if glaring back at it. "Hm..? Your other self cannot even do this ritual?" Her ears perked up, "W-woah.. I mean. I-I will gladly assist in teaching you. hehehe." She chuckled with pride and walked back into the summoning circle, but got her foot caught on the christmas lights. "G-GAH. WHY-" She didn't fall..! -but she hopped and stumbled awkwardly until she got the lights to stop clinging to her. Through her stumbling though. she managed to knock the Furby over and it started making ...bizarre, distorted sounds that definitely did not sound like the sounds a children's toy should make.
Whitney:
"Yeah, you might just have to. Wyatt needs a few tips on using his magic to its fullest." To be fair, she wasn't wrong. She hardly knew how to cast the majority of Wyatt's spells. It would take a while before she learned and mastered them all. As Noa accidentally knocked down the furby, it started making strange sounds. This caused Whitney to get a concerned/repulsed look on her face. "Is.... is it supposed to sound like that?" Whitney let out. "That uh... that doesn't sound right." Oh god, maybe she actually did summon a demon? She's gonna fREAK if there is no batteries in there either.
Noa:
Noa looked at Whitney blankly, then down at the toy. "Ah, yeah it does this. That's why I called it a Malicious Hell-spawn. It's internal structure is fried and it's power cores only barely function. That is why it is contained down here in the dungeon." She explained as she picked up the fuzzy thing. "It.. was supposed to be cute... once... long ago....." She stared sadly into the Furby's eyes, while the toy flashed the eyelids open and shut in a weird manner. "Does it frighten you?" Noa looked back at Whitney and held up the toy, which made more weird noises before suddenly freezing mid-motion.
Whitney:
"Oh, I see. Well, just because it's damaged doesn't make it any less cute." Whitney replied as she walked closer to Noa and the Furby. "It's just as cute now as it was back in its prime. The poor thing is probably just sad and lonely. It was weird, it was almost as if like this damaged Furby was some sort of metaphor for Noa's life. She tried to come off as super edgy and stuff, but she was very sweet and innocent on the inside. Something may had damaged her emotionally in her life for her to have turned out this way. That made Whitney care even more for her, as well as the Furby. She placed her hand on the toy and shook her head. "No, it doesn't anymore. I think it just needs a friend. Don't you think?" She said as she looked up at Noa.
Noa:
"Sad and lonely?" Noa looked surprised at the thought. Whitney's words made her think a bit about what she'd said about it, and she looked at the toy again, before manually fixing its eyes and mouth so they were proper again. It had been in the basement a long time, ever since it originally started to sound.. like it did right this moment. -Before that it had been played with a lot. Ah.. maybe it was lonely... Noa's ears dropped slightly and she smiled at Whitney. "ahaha.. your words are poetic." She started to say, and held the toy against her chest; a subtle hug. " Yeah, you kind of.. make.. a good point.. I won't hide it down here anymore. I did kind of miss it." Her over-the-top act had been turned way down and she spoke with a much more 'normal' tone. Noa's tail wagged calmly as she held up the toy to Whitney. "He says; 'thank you, beautiful maiden! For seeing my true self!' " She talked for the toy in a playful voice before quickly turning away to go unplug the lights. "-Would you like to return above, to the Land of the Light?" Noa shyly asked Whitney, referring to going back upstairs.
Whitney:
Whitney blushed at the Furby's compliment. "Hahaha aww... how sweet of it. Turns out he was just misunderstood, that's all!" She said as she patted it on the head. Whitney then nodded at Noa. "Yeah, we can go back upstairs. Your summoning ritual was very fun! Thank you for showing me it~" It was funny, because of this whole ritual and coming over to visit Noa, Whitney now understood her better. Not many would give Noa the chance to do things like this because of the way she acts. But, deep down, there were reasons why she was like this. She needed somebody to be here for her all along. Whitney was glad she put aside her first impressions of the girl and went out of her way to come to her house. As they walked upstairs, Whitney asked her a question. "Hey so, I've got my car with me here. If you wanna keep doing stuff, I could take you to the mall if you wanted!"
Noa:
"No problem. Hehe" Noa gave a toothy grin, then unplugged her satanic christmas lights, then skipped after Whitney, old Furby under her arm. "W-woa- you can drive..?!" Noa's eyes widened in amazement. "M-My guardians won't let me..... I told them I wanted to be able to, so that I could chase after demons on horseback. Like a car chase..!" She excitedly recited some of the conversation, completely missing the point of Whitney's question. "Can you do tricks in it? -ah wait what? The mall..?" Noa played with the furbys ears as she thought. "I've never been to the mall without my mother or the Darkness Bringer. Th-that would be... a very exciting adventure!! Yes!! I would really like to!" she bounced up and down in excitement, causing all of her accessories she wore on or around her clothing to bounce around and create an obnoxious jangling sound every time she jumped up. Apparently this was enough noise to finally irritate her sister, who yelled Noa's name from upstairs where her bedroom was located. "A-aaah.... s-sorry....!!" Noa yelled back, before turning to Whitney with a worried look. "Ah um.. I mean yeah!! I want to go! Let me go put this in my room and get my bag." she replied quickly and darted down the hallway to her bedroom, she was really interested in getting out of the house after ticking off her older sister, so it was no surprise that she came running back out of the room at an impressive speed. Since she ran though, she was just as noisy as she had been jumping, so there was hardly a reason to run at all....
Whitney:
Guardians, and not parents, huh? Whitney keeps that written down in her mental notebook...... as well as the reasons as to why Noa can't drive, yeah maybe she should sit in the back seat. She waited at the front door for Noa to go put away her stuff quietly.... except she did none of that quietly. Keeping that in mind as well, that Noa can't sneak. Once Noa returned, Whitney opened up the front door. "Okay let's go, shall we? That's my car right over there, so just hop into the back seat and we'll get going." She didn't entertain the idea of doing car tricks or any of the sort because well.... she couldn't. Both physically and legally. Getting into the car, she strapped herself in the driver's seat and waited for Noa to do so as well.
Noa:
Noa followed Whitney outside eagerly, oh boy oh boy she was goin' to the mall with a friend. The back seat huh? She pouted at Whitney. " ....chuuu... backseat...." she mumbled, her voice containing less enthusiasm than before. "okay.." Although unhappy about it, Noa still obeyed, and climbed into one of the back seats and buckled herself up. -She still seemed to be somewhat excited, despite everything. "...Are you gunna do some flips?" She ...was asking seriously.
Whitney:
Great.... she brought up the flipping question again. "I uh... well I actually don't know how to do that." She laughed. "We will see some cool stuff at the mall, though! It shouldn't be very long until we get there." Noticing that Noa buckled herself up, Whitney gave a sigh of relief. Thank god she knew how to do that. Seeing as how everything was good, she started driving over to the mall. It was a pretty hot day out today, so she turned on the air conditioner. "Anything you like to do at the mall?" Whitney asked, attempting to start a conversation with Noa.
Noa:
Noa's ears flopped down just a tad, "You don't know how..? curses..." She clenched a fist dramatically and stared out the window. "-What I like to do..? I don't really get to do much." she answered rather plainly and played with the other seatbelts, buckling them into each other's pieces so it looked mismatching. "I go to places my mother takes me. Some shops I don't mind I suppose. I like looking at the video games, but she only permits me to enter that area at the end of our excursion... and only if she deemed my behavior appropriate. Curse this foul woman.. Why must I be controlled this way...." She clenched her fist again. Noa looked at Whitney, then around the inside of the car, then her own seat belt. What the heck was this scenario. "Hey.... why don't you have to go with your mother..???" She asked, with a hint of irritation in her voice.
Whitney:
Because I am your mother, child "Oh well, I guess my mom just let's me, is all." She replied as a simple answer, rather than the full on truth. "But unlike with your mom, we're not going to be stopping at any stores that you don't want to go to. This is about you and I going together as friends, so that means we get to visit all the fun places instead.~" Whitney could totally understand where her mother is coming from, though she does look forward to being able to give Noa a good time today. Hopefully she doesn't get too out of control. Thankfully, Whitney is a very responsible person and that includes taking care of people who are less responsible. They were going to have a responsible amount of fun, yes.
Noa:
"....My mother is dumb then." Noa grumbled. Looking at Whitney, she tilted her head curiously. "Really? We can go to the more fun places..??" she leaned forward in her seat best she could to get closer to the Delphox. "..fufufu... perhaps I can finally get a rematch with the employees at the game store. I fought one of them in a duel once." She said this all rather proudly, and sat back in her seat again.. then pressed the button so the window rolled down. "....My mother didn't really like that and I was not permitted to return there for a while. I really don't understand her." she continued, then pressed the button again so the window rolled back up and closed. She continued playing with the button, making the window open and close until she finally left it open and tried to peek her head out. "Curses... I can't fit out of here... I can't ride on the top this way..." she mumbled in frustration.
Whitney:
"Oh did you now? Did you beat them at the game?" Noticing that Noa had opened up the window, she decided to turn off the AC in favor of rolling down the other windows in the car as well. Made the car way more breezier. She left her window up a bit higher in particular though, otherwise her hair would be all over the place. "Not sure why your mom wouldn't let you play with them, seems pretty harmless enough to me." Though, there may have been more to the story than just that. Dunno if Noa is exactly the best at getting true stories from.
Noa:
"No. I was dragged out by my mother before I could finish." Noa replied, still trying to figure out the window escape idea. "She didn't even buy me the weapon I was using. -and then when I asked to go again she said she didn't want to go to that mall for a while." Noa made a devious smile to herself. "I think she is just a coward. I could've won." She chuckled to herself in an evil way. She was silent for a couple moments, staring out the window, waiting for the 'perfect moment'.. then tried to open the back door really quickly with full force. -but it didn't open. She stared at the handle confusedly, and tried to open it a couple more times. "Why can't I open this." Noa asked bluntly. "Did my mother share her spells with you somehow?"
Whitney:
Whitney sat there silent for a moment. She immediately assumed that Noa had meant she dueled them in like a game of Smash bros or something, not..... with light sabers in real life. Okay now that story makes a lot more sense. Things got a lot worse when Whitney heard Noa attempting to open the back door while they were driving. It almost gave her a goddamn heart attack when she did, but thank the lord that the child lock was on. "N-noa! You don't want to try to open the door while the car is moving, you could really hurt yourself. We're almost there so just hang tight a little bit longer. We can save all the fun for there." Whitney shook her head gently, how can somebody be so attractive but at the same time be so childish. She knew shew as an adult and everything but... she hardly acted like one. Whitney needed to help this girl out a lot.
