*Ronnie's POV*
I picked up my wallet from the table and walked out the door. I decided to walk through the forest to calm my nerves. I was worried about Bridget. She hadn't been to school in three days and Calum hadn't heard anything from her. I wanted to go to Tyler's apartment to see if she was okay but at the same time I didn't want to see her with Tyler. I was being selfish. So I stopped mid-step in the forest and turned around. I got my car out of the garage and started driving to Tyler's apartment. The entire ride there I was contemplating whether or not I should just stop worrying about Bridget, but I couldn't. I cared too much. I never care this much about people, but she was different. I didn't want to see her more hurt than she already was.
I stopped right in front of the small complex and tightened my grip on the wheel. You're gonna regret this, I told myself. I sighed and parked the car right before knocking on their door. I waited until I heard someone rattling the doorknob. The door opened and there was Tyler.
"Oh. It's you," he said disappointedly.
"You," I said spitefully.
"What do you want?"
"Is Bridget here?"
"Yeah, so what?"
"I need to talk to her." He rolled his eyes and shut the door slightly. A few seconds later, the door opened and Bridget stood there.
"What do you want?" She asked, rolling her eyes. To see that you're okay, I wanted to say. But I couldn't say that. She hated me.
"Uh, did you do the poem?" She got visibly confused.
"You drove over here just to ask me if I was done with some stupid assignment?"
"Yeah..." I stood there, with my hands in my pockets and my hair over my eyes. I need a haircut.
"I haven't started it yet." She stayed there, too. She seemed less irritated than she normally was when she was around me. She just seemed confused.
"Well, you should."
"With what information? That you're an asshole?"
"No, with stuff you know about me."
"I know that you're an asshole."
"And I know that you're a spiteful bitch, but I still have nice things to say about you." Her icy blue eyes softened when I said that, and the slept in eyeliner highlighted them. "My favorite color's moss green, I prefer Pepsi over Coke, and I'm allergic to bees." A small smile peaked at her lips and I couldn't help but full on smile at that.
"You could've just texted me this ya know..."
"If you really didn't want me to be here you would've kicked me to the curb by now," I whispered in her ear. When I leaned away from her, she was biting her lip.
"My favorite color is black, I prefer Coke over Pepsi, and when I was 3, my parents took me and my brother to a Blink 182 concert."
"Parenting at its finest." She nodded, smiling. "Waddaya say, let's go to Delilah's Diner and get some food while we state more facts about ourselves?" She bit her lip while thinking, which made her even more attractive, and looked back inside the apartment. I could see Tyler sitting on the couch watching some scary movie.
"You sure you wanna go to a diner with a criminal?" She retorted.
"There's the spiteful bitch I was talking about! But no, I don't wanna go with a criminal. That's why I'm asking the new girl in town to go to the diner with me." She hesitated before responding.
