*Ronnie's POV*

"You're adopted?" Calum asked in shock. We were in his living room, since his parents weren't home.

"Yeah," I said.

"Since when? What?"

"I was adopted at birth. My bio-" I paused, taking a deep breath. "My biological mother gave me up for adoption while I was still in the womb. It was an arranged adoption."

"Oh... Do you know your biological parents?"

"No. It's a closed adoption."

"Do you know why she gave you up?"

"She was 16."

Calum's eyes widened and he mouthed the word "wow." I shrugged and sat down on the couch next to him.

"I'm an asshole, you know. I shit on my mom a lot for not being my 'real' mom. But she is, she's my real mom. I know that. She raised me, not that other woman."

"Do you know anything about your biological mother, though?"

"Just that her name is Jane. She was 16 and signed me over to my mom when she was 6 months pregnant."

"When did you find out?"

"They told me when I was 13," I said as I ran a hand through my hair.

"Why didn't you tell me after they told you?" I looked at him and saw the look of concern on his face.

"I was scared everyone would judge me, and that if I told you somehow it'd just get out. It's always been my best kept secret until Bridget found a copy of the adoption papers."

"Wait, what? She found a copy of the adoption papers?"

"Yeah. She knocked over a bunch of papers and in those papers were a copy of the adoption stuff."

"So you're trying to say Bridget found out before me?" He feigned jealousy. I chuckled.

"Yeah, she found out before you. I lashed out, though. She went back to Tyler's." Calum sighed.

"You need to go to her."

"And say what?"

"'And say what?' Tell her how you feel. Tell her you like her. Tell her you both know Tyler is the wrong guy for her. Tell her you want to be with her. And then fucking kiss her. Kiss her like she's never been kissed before. Give her a goddamn fairytale ending to this shitstorm that's been brewing. Then after you kiss her, take her home."

"Easier said than done," I sighed.

"Go. I'm kicking you out of my house. Go to her."

"Calum wha-"

"Go, Jesus Christ, go. This story needs a happy ending!" I laughed.

"You're crazy."

"I know, thank me later for that. Now go!" I sighed and got up. It's time.

*Bridget's POV*

I kept wiping the tears from my eyes, but that didn't stop the crying. I sobbed into my clothes as I packed them into a bag. Half my clothes were already wet. I wasn't crying quietly, either, but Tyler went to work so I didn't care. I threw the last pair of socks into the bag and slid my back down the wall, crying. I didn't want to go back on that bed. I don't think I wanted to be on any bed anymore. I sat on the hardwood floor and leaned my head against the drawers, crying. I think I sat there for 10 minutes, just crying. The words he said stuck in my head. Victoria... If only I had just stuck to Ronnie that night. All of this could have been avoided. I'm so stupid. I hate myself, I thought. This is what I get. I wiped more tears from my face, along with some snot. I stood up and grabbed my phone from the nightstand. I toyed with the phone in my hands, then I dialed the person that first popped into my head. The person I needed. He picked up after a third ring.
