"Hej!" Philip greeted her as the door to his restaurant opened. "Are you alone? Julian still hasn't come back?"

"He said he would be back this week." Sophie replied as she stood in front of the counter. "I need caffeine, Philip. I didn't sleep a wink, Amelia had a high fever last night. I left her with my mom today so I can go to work."

"She just came from here too, Julian's wife." Philip said as he was busy making coffee for Sophie. "I can't bear to see her. Just sitting here every day without really being able to show her husband that she wants to get back to him."

"Why do you pity her?" Sophie grumbled. "What she was going through now wasn't even half of the misery Julian had felt because of her dirty doing."

"They just didn't open up to each other. What they're doing right now is hurting each other's hearts. Am I wrong to say that Julian looks brighter after her apearance here in this town?"

"You're right." Sophie muttered with a dreamy look. "Sometimes I wonder, does Julian really only have one heart for one woman, or is he just too foolish? He knows that his unhealed wounds will reopen when he meets Nate. But, at the same time, it's only her who can make him feel alive again like now. I don't know how to deal with that situation."

"She's jealous of you."

Sophie chuckled. "I know. I felt happy and guilty at the same time after I heard that she was hospitalised because of the way I interacted with Julian. She didn't even wanna see me when I went to visit her at the hospital. Julian had told me that Nate never liked any of his female friends before."

"She has her own reasons for that." Philip said as he handed Sophie a glass of hot coffee. "During their marriage, Julian was too nice to his female coworkers so that they misunderstood his kindness. But he always ignored her whenever she scolded him. His co-workers even set him up with one of the girls before he finally separated with his wife."

Sophie's eyebrows furrowed together. "What?"

"Why do you sound surprised? Julian missed that part when he told you his story?" asked Philip. "Nate did cheat on him, but it wasn't that guy who made her end their marriage."

Sophie's mouth opened, but no words came out. She had never heard that story from Julian until now.

"We all need to learn to listen to all sides of the story so that we don't hotfoot it to judge others." Philip continued. "Nate is considering returning to the UK. You might want to tell her the truth about your relationship with Julian before she leaves."

Philip handed Sophie a crumpled tissue. She opened it and read the writing.

Day-80

I wanna see you again, even if it will be one last time for me.

Tillie, I miss you. Can we have dinner together after work?

Nate stared at her phone screen, hoping the message was from Julian instead of Sophie. Nate was reluctant to reply, especially since she refused to see Sophie at the hospital. Julian was away, so what did she want? Would she finally show her true colors when he wasn't around?

However, Nate didn't expect Sophie to come to the clinic when her working hours were over. She was wearing an orange blazer with matching pants, and high heels. She rolled her hair up, showing her long and fair neck. She still as pretty as picture even after working all day. Contrary from Nate who was dull already, with a jumper, jeans, and trainers. Nate was green with envy to the thought that Julian had a perfect woman like that.

"Have you finished work?" Sophie greeted with a charming smile.

Nate nodded. Marco glanced at them curiously. Nate wasn't sure if Marco had ever seen Sophie with Julian. Since Dr. Wilma was there with them, Nate couldn't refuse Sophie's invitation to go with her.
