Pond's pov:

''Pond, is that right?'' the heiress of Ruby, Tu Tontawan asked offering a smile. I somehow managed to crack a smile before replying with a simple yes. Phuwin being Phuwin somehow managed to set me on a blind date. He can be extremely persuasive when he wants something. I have no hopes or expectations from these dates, they don't work up. People can't magically fall in love after having a 2 hour conversation. Our conversation was going pretty smooth with simple questions asked by one about the other. ''So, what are your plans about your future?'' she took a sip of her wine as she placed her chin over her palm. ''I'm looking forward to work a lot harder on my company. My main focus for now is with no hesitation my career. When I'll be finally satisfied enough, I plan on settling down'' I answered with all honesty as there's no point in lying with her on a first date. ''Oh wow, that's great.'' disappointment heavy on her sentence. ''What about you?'' I returned the question as she let out a sigh before replying ''We're really not on the same page about our future. I want to settle down as soon as possible, that may not be possible but meeting someone on the same page would be a lot more comforting. I'm not looking for a fling but rather I want to date to marry.'' she exhaled a deep breath as she finished her sentence in one go. Well this is what happens when you go on blind dates of course. "I'm so sorry about that but there's nothing much I can do" I tried to make my sentence sound as comforting as a hug, and she got the words. "Please don't be sorry. It was honestly lovely meeting you." her sentence came out very genuine as I had a hard time detecting any bad blood, much to my satisfaction. There was none. She stood up paying for her food even after I insisted countless times that it had to be on me, before leaving. My eyes eventually found themselves taking a look at Phuwin, as he looked confused when she left. Our eyes met when he looked at me confused making me shrug.

"Understandable, at least you guys tried" Phuwin nodded his head in understanding as I finished explaining to him at exactly happened that suddenly made her leave. "I hope she finds the one that'll be ready to settle down with her" I stole a glance at Phuwin as he was busy typing on his phone with a frown. ''Is it one of your clients again?'' knowing how sometimes clients can be a pain in the ass, especially when someone is planning their wedding. Phuwin got some different level of patience. ''No everything is alright'' he exhaled out a loud breath which was more than enough for me to know everything is in fact not alright. But he's Phuwin, what can I except? He'll never tell you when something's wrong because he thinks he's being a burden. If somebody held me on gun point and asked me to admit Phuwin is a burden, the bullet would be buried into my skull.  ''My client is getting married tomorrow, and he wants me to bring a plus one. Are you free tomorrow?'' he asked looking at me with puppy eyes. Nothing new for us, we've always been each other's plus ones at weddings and important ceremonies because taking my spouses out publicly was never on my to do list. So, my best friend it was for me. ''I am. Which time do I have to pick you up?'' mental note ask June to cancel all my meetings tomorrow. ''Perfect!! we may even find someone for you over there you know'' he exclaimed winking at me. ''I still believe this will never work out with every bone in my body'' he rolled his eyes at my statement as I only raised an eyebrow at him before shaking my head. ''You got 9 more days. If the deal or whatever isn't done by then, never bother about this topic'' my sentence was almost a warning and a threat at the same time. ''Let's just hope you meet the love of your life magically'' he threw his hands dramatically in the air. I stopped the car as we reached his house. ''You want to come in and have dinner? I baked cookies too'' he spoke while unbuckling his seat belt, I took a quick glance at my watch 7:19 pm. ''Who am I to say no?''. I pushed my hands into my pockets and trailed behind Phuwin towards his apartment as he was busy finding his keys. We finally reached as he unlocked the door.

The moment we entered the place I was met with familiar pastel-colored walls and a very cozy environment. It has been 4 years since Phuwin moved out from his parent's large mansion like house into an apartment with two bedrooms, a fairly big living room and a kitchen. A small house that he had made into home with soft pastel walls, a lot of art details, a book shelf full of his collection. Even though he could afford to live somewhere way luxurious with his income he chose not to, claiming he loved his apartment a little too much. ''Awee did you miss me?'' Phuwin cooed as we entered inside the living area. He received a reply with a lazy meow. ''Hanabi has grown too big'' I lifted her up as she leaned against me with a slight pur making me smile. ''You saw her last week Nara'' he took off his coat putting it over a chair as he entered the kitchen. I patted Hana one last time, before putting my suit over his coat and following him. As he started cooking, I just sat on the counter occasionally helping him and mostly being busy in our conversations. He plated one plate for me giving it to me, as I sat waiting for him as he followed soon after. As we started eating, I couldn't help being delighted at the taste of his cooking. I've always liked his cooking though it's a truth I've never admitted out loud. ''My client has a very hot single brother you should try your luck with him'' Phuwin suddenly spat out breaking the comfortable silence. ''You find him hot?'' I put my fork down looking at him with a teasing yet serious gaze. ''Generically speaking, yes I do. You guys will look good together'' he poured me a glass of water passing it to me. I took a sip before answering ''I'll be going as your plus one, not somebody else's. And what is something about him that you find hot?'' my voice covered with curiosity as he wiggled his eyebrows ''Are you jealous?'' he said before bursting into a fit of laughter almost choking on his food which made me laugh as well.

After our chaotic dinner, I helped Phuwin wash the dishes before deciding to head back to my resident. Phuwin suggested staying the night, but I had lots of pent-up work and needed to notify June about cancelling my schedule as soon as I could. I slip on my coat, before heading towards the door, Phuwin wailing behind me. ''Text me when you get home and pick me up at 3:00 pm alright?'' he leaned against the door frame as I hummed in response getting in the car. I pulled my windows down, ''Close the door and go to sleep, it's late'' I waved at him as he waved back at me before closing the door as I drove off. Let's see what sort of a guy has Phuwin calling him ''hot''.

''Yes June, I'm sure please clear my schedule out for tomorrow'' I said before cutting the call not wanting to hear more from my paranoid assistant. My phone suddenly buzzed with a notification .

Phuwin: you home?

Pond: Yes just got home. It's 2:00 am why aren't you asleep?

Phuwin: hehe I'm trying to choose an outfit for tomorrow:0

Pond: What color are you wearing?

Phuwin: Blue definitely, I brought this outfit last year and never once got to wear it ;(

Pond: SLEEP!

I turned my phone off before making a second mental note: wear something blue tomorrow.
