Phuwin's pov:
"I can assure you he's going to propose you maybe not this instant but soon enough. C'mon Dunk you guys have been together for long enough for you to ever doubt him" I rub his back trying my best to reassure him both through my words and actions. They had the best time with Joong's family, it's no surprise his parents and siblings have known Dunk since we went to college together. We're all pretty close to each other's families. Back to the family dinner, while returning from the dinner they stumbled across Joong's ex and safe to say she said some things that got on Dunk's last nerve. Among the constellation of her taunts, she had the audacity to say "Oh dear, I hope you aren't expecting Joong to marry you. That was the reason we broke up in the first place. Expect less and the less you'll be hurt." as demonstrated by Dunk. "I don't know Phuwin, I would never doubt him or his intentions. I'm the problem, my overthinking is the problem. He is not, he never is." Dunk's tone came out guilty and bitter as he rubbed his temples. My lips pressed into a thin line as I looked at him with an understanding face. "It's ok bro, your feelings are truly valid. There's no reason for you to be guilty about it. Joong didn't want to get married because they were young and restless. He has matured up a lot since then and has learnt from his mistakes. She wasn't you and now you are the one he loves, I'm sure you've changed his ideas on marriage." my voice was calm and deliberate making sure my words don't come out reckless and I don't accidentally make Dunk feel like a jerk for feeling the way he is. "You're right Phu, I should just have a talk about this with him even though he reassured me multiple times yesterday night that he loves me and is gladly willingly to spend his entire life being permanently handcuffed to me" his lips curved up in a soft smile and red covered his cheeks talking about Joong. "Awwww Dunk you are such a cutiee." I cooed at him as I pinched his cheeks while he was trying to shove my hands away from his face. "Leave this and tell me about the wedding from yesterday" he took a sip of his drink looking at me his doe eyes anticipating something. I let out a sigh as my smile slowly disappeared "Hey hey is everything alright?" Dunk's voice lingered with genuine concern as he touched my shoulder looking me with worried eyes. "I'm fine, it's just we ran into Neo" his eyes widened as he let out a gasp looking like someone ate his dog. "Oh my- I'm so sorry-" before he could finish his sentence, he was cut off by me "It's no big deal Natachai, don't apologize. Pond had to take me home and missed his date because according to him leaving me alone in that state was a bad idea. Later on, I suggested baking to kill time but our peaceful baking session turned into a flour throwing war." I giggled a bit as the moments from the night before crossed my mind. Oh well all that fun wasn't so fun when it was our turn for cleaning, we almost died from coughing and laughing at the same time, almost losing our breaths. "We'll definitely join you both next time" Dunk said with a familiar smile that he always had whenever I spoke about me and Pond. "Please do" we both laughed when suddenly Dunk's phone started ringing for the umpteenth time. "We should leave Phuwin. Joong has been calling me since yesterday but I ignored it all." Dunk admitted in a disappointed tone as he shook his head. "It's alright, you get going. I'll kill some time here, then I'll go visit Pond" he slowly nodded as he made his way towards the exit after we bid our goodbyes.

"Yes Phuwin, I have no problem in attending the date tonight" he said with his eyes focused on the documents infront extremely concentrated in his work. He's the most productive person I know, he's always giving his best to his job. Must have gotten that from his dad. "Ok then, she'll be there at the same place, same time" I said spinning around in the swivel chair focused on the game playing in my phone. "You'll be there right?" he voiced out putting the documents aside and getting up from the chair slowly marching towards me, putting his hand on the neck of the chair to stop it from moving. "The plan is still the same, I won't be spying on you guys. I'll be at the library nearby. Pick me up if you can and if not just drop a text" I put my phone back into my pocket. I stole a glance at the watch glued to his wrist. Why does he never take it off? "I have to leave Nara, a woman called me yesterday at midnight at 4:50 am bawling her eyes out. For a moment, I was convinced she got the wrong number but then she said how she was so grateful I picked up the call and how she's in urgent need for a wedding planner. She wants to meet me today for lunch and discuss about her wedding." I pulled myself back from the chair, grabbing my tote bag from his table as he stood up from his chair and I looked at him with a very confused expression. "What? I'm going to drop you off." he said casually putting on his coat which was draped on his chair. "Where are you buying all this time from? I thought you are extremely busy of a person who needs to be reserved three days prior somebody wants to meet you." I raised an eyebrow at him as he ignored my question like a mosquito as we made our way towards the elevator.

"Text me if you need me to drop you off at home after lunch alright. If I don't reply back, I'm probably at a meeting. Call me, my phone will probably be answered by June if she sees your name, but I'll receive the message anyways." his sentence came out as a command as he rolled down the window. "I'll literally just call an Uber or walk home. Why would I call you knowing you're in a meeting?" I frowned at his request as he rolled his eyes at my reply. "Just do as said" he pulled back his windows driving off without waiting for a reply. I internally rolled my eyes before walking in the restaurant.

"I can't convey how thankful I am with just my words. I literally can't thank you enough" her voice lingered with genuine gratitude as she thanked me for the uncountable time. "It's literally no big deal ma'am, it's just my job. Please stop saying thank you" I smiled at her as she slowly nodded before grabbing her phone and her eyes widened at the sight. "I'm so sorry but I'll have to leave Phuwin. I have already paid for both of us and thank you once again for your time and efforts. I appreciate it a lot." she quickly thanked me before pacing out of the restaurant like she had a train to catch. Poor woman. I should just walk home today, the weather is nice too. As I made my way out of the restaurant I was met with the sight of the very familiar Porsche, when suddenly the window suddenly rolled down revealing a man that screamed perfection- Pond Naravit. "Get in " he unlocked the passenger seat for me, motioning me get in. "I thought you had a meeting and how did you even know when I was going to come out?" I raised an eyebrow at him, getting in and claiming my spot on the passenger seat. ''I just did'' he said rolling up his shirt revealing the muscular forearms that always remain hidden with a long-sleeved shirt.  If only I had his body, I'd never bother wearing clothes.

Pond's pov:

''Reschedule the meeting.'' my sentence was more of a command as I saw June's eyes widened as she opened her mouth to say something but quickly closed it as she looked at my gravely expression. ''Will be done, sir.'' the door closed shut as her figure receded down the hallway. I should go pick Phuwin up. The meeting can wait. I loosened my tie grabbing my car keys from my table and walked towards the elevator. As I finally reached the destination, I waited for about 20 minutes before a woman with a very tensed expression left the restaurant soon followed by a cat like male dressed in a pink cardigan and blue jeans made his way out. I unlocked the passenger door for him to get in as he already bombarded me with questions. Phuwin values my professionalism very much and it always gets on his nerve when I sideline my work for him. ''You shouldn't leave work for me Pond.'' his tone was serious as he moved his eyes from the landscape outside to look at me. ''I wanted to'' I replied not moving my eyes from the road as I felt his gaze fixed on me. ''Mom wants us for dinner tomorrow so if you are free.'' I finally glanced at him as our eyes met for a second and I felt something different. But I tried to jerk down the feeling by shaking my head. ''Sure, we'll be there.'' he smiled softly as the tension in the car eased and we began with our banters.

is Pond finally getting it?
