CH17: "They got no idea about me and you"

Pond's pov:
I stirred slowly in my sleep as I felt something burying their face into my chest hugging me like a second skin. I hug the object back as my nose was hit with the smell of vanilla mix with a hint of an earthy smell. I stir my eyes open, slowly blinking only to feel an uneasy feeling in my stomach upon seeing the ceiling being different from what I had woken up to even yesterday. I felt something move against me followed by a little whine. I jolted to the side until I was face to face with Phuwin- his face buried into my chest, one arm draped over my waist and leg wrapped with mine. Realization slowly came, as I looked at the room engulfed by darkness, the sun nowhere to be found in the sky as it was covered with black clouds. Oh shit- the sun had already set, we slept in the entire day. I mentally shook my head before returning my gaze towards Phuwin, a fucking angel- his long eyelashes resting on his calm held face, cat like nose a bit scrunched up, plump lips formed into a pout, inviting me for a dangerous game. Are we really going to pretend we didn't absolutely devour each other in this room and on this bed? Are we really going to keep playing best friends and erase every little memory of that kiss? Because I can't do that, not even if I hit my head against a wall. Even then the only thing I'll remember is his taste- fucking cherry my favourite. I didn't realize I kept staring at him until he slowly opened his eyes, blinking at me trying to adjust to the dim lighting. "Morning." there was a rasp in his otherwise calm voice, caused by our long slumber. I couldn't help but chuckle as I gently ruffled his messy yet fluffy hair, "Ironical morning." He stretched his body like a cat taking a glimpse of the outside world as his eyes widened upon realizing the time. He quickly grabbed his phone, his mouth wide "We slept for 10 hours.. did you inform your mom?" His voice laced with worry, almost looking like he overslept during his viva. I couldn't contain my smile at him looking like a lost cat before slowly nodding. I didn't quite inform her, but she knows. Everybody that knows me, knows that if I'm out for more than 5 hours unless it's for work, I'm with Phuwin. I still grabbed my phone from the bedside table to text her a little apology for disappearing. At least inform me when you're sleeping in with Phuwin! Not that I mind, I love my son-in-law;) my eyes caught the notification from my, a smile formed on my lips before I could stop it, before shaking my head at her tactics. "What are you shaking your head at?" He looked at with me with a frown and a slightly annoyed expression. "Nothing, go freshen up. We'll grab dinner then I'll go to my house after dropping you off." I kept my phone aside focusing solely on the beauty beside me looking at me like I ate his reserved chocolate cake. "I can just cook for us, Nara." He replied sitting up as he pulled the blanket over his body, shivering. "You're as exhausted as me Phu, if not more. You can cook tomorrow." I replied with a stern voice leaving no room for argument as I placed a hand on his forehead noticing his shivering. His temperature was normal, I slept shirtless and I feel just fine. He nodded before slowly pushing the blanket from his body about to get up. My veins popped up as I took a look at him- his oversized white shirt loosely hanging over his shoulder exposing his milky collarbone, his shorts barely doing anything to cover his white thighs, his hair messy from the aftermath of the sleep. My mind wandered over places thinking how it would feel to cover his collarbone with hickeys until his pale skin felt like my own canvas, how it would be to bite his thighs as he moaned my name over and over again while he pulled the strands of my hair- "You're staring." a calm yet hoarse voice cut the chain of my impious thoughts as I cleared my throat before looking away. Snap out of your thoughts Naravit! I don't need an evening boner. "I'll get going." He didn't bother fixing his shirt as he lazily walked towards the bathroom, almost as if to tease me with his sinful beauty. Damn you Phuwin Tangsakyuen, you'll be the death of me.

"You should have a shower too. You look like you just returned from hibernation." A soft tone suddenly spoke out as I busy typing on my phone, replying to delayed emails. I looked up to find him drying his hair leisurely using a towel as he changed into something dinner friendly. "I shall do that actually." I lazily pulled myself from the soft mattress walking towards Phuwin as he stood drying his hair. "Mind giving me a towel and spare clothes?" I lowered my head to look at him more clearly, almost chuckling at how cute he looked, his cheeks puffed up and lips formed into a pout. I just wanted to grab his face and kiss him again. "I've kept everything in the bathroom." He replied with a subtle tone as I smiled at him before heading towards the bathroom.

Phuwin's pov:
"I'm very full, I can't even take one sip of water without feeling like my stomach is about to rip open." I leaned against the chair in protest as Pond wanted to full my plate once again. "You haven't eaten anything since yesterday night. What are you on about?" He asked with his eyebrow raised as I shook my head in an attempt to show that I'm very full and satisfied. "You should finish eating then we should go home. You missed work today, how irresponsible." I gave him a side-eye to which he gave me a look of disbelief. "There's my mom and there's you, I can win against the world but I could never win against you both." He gently shook his head as I giggled. We paid the bills after enjoying our meal, we spent the day like bears in hibernation. I received 7 unanswered calls from Dunk. I nearly had a stroke thinking there must be an emergency only to find out he was freaking out about a pimple before his engagement ceremony which was in two days. "We're here Phuwin." He suddenly stopped the car infront of my apartment. "Thank you for dropping me off. Get some sleep and don't miss work tomorrow." I spoke while unbuckling my seatbelt as I felt his stares on me. I stepped out of the car, waving my hand at him as I watched him until he drove away from my sight.

I walked inside the apartment feeling the vacant environment, an empty feeling sparking throughout me. I didn't want to live alone like this forever, I know I'm very young and have years ahead of me to settle down. But, I've always wanted to have a family by 25 and my plan is nowhere near my life. My mom keeps nagging about how my grandmother is fighting for her life and her last wish is to see me get married to the love of my life. Who is going to tell her the only love I have in my life is the Chanel Campbell's Love, even that I've ran out of. A sudden buzzing sound was heard across the apartment as I took my phone out of my pocket, taking a glance at the screen, expecting either Dunk or my mom. But to my surprise it was Mrs Naravit, with a deep breath I answered the call. "Phu? Are you asleep?" her voice came out soft from the other end of the line. "No aunty, did Pond get home?" I asked because I didn't receive a I am home text from him. "Yes he is. Phu.. you know right the ten days are coming to an end?" oh no I hadn't mentally prepared myself to have this conversation with her yet. "I'm aware aunty." I sighed out in disappointment. "I know my son is impossible to please. I don't see your fault. It's just once the ten days are over, I'd feel extremely guilty to raise the topic of marriage in front of him ever again as per my promise." how do I tell her I've promised him to die single with him if we can't find him a spouse within the ten days. "I will have to die single along with him then." I joked in an attempt to reduce her stress to which I earned a chuckle from the other end. "Or maybe non of you would die alone if you guys finally opened your eyes and realized that your soulmate has literally been there all along." that was the last thing I heard before beeping sounds filled my ears. Her statement after that kiss wasn't so necessary. I huffed as I threw myself on the unorganized bed screaming into the pillow.
