Pond's pov:
"Mr. Pond Naravit! Just the man I was looking for." a voice interrupted our peaceful judging session just as Phuwin was about to critique the outfit of the man wearing a pink fur coat with gold chains. Can we not have a moment to ourselves without random people just inviting themselves into our conversation? "Ms. Laura, didn't expect to see you here." I stood up straightening my tuxedo as I gently shook the old woman's hand infront of me. "Can't be a big business event without me making an appearance." she confidently smiled as I nodded my head at her reluctantly agreeing. "Who is this beauty?" she looked at me with wide amused eyes the moment she laid eyes on the beauty listening to our conversations with big curious eyes making me unintentionally crack a smile. "What a sight beyond belief." her voice held pure astonishment making me bite down the smile and focus entirely on the conversation. "The rock cold CEO who never smiles and doesn't talk unless it's business smiling at the sight of a pretty boy." she continued her sentence, her tone glinting with mischief with the perfect amount of professionalism. "I'm sorry Ms. Laura, is there any way you could use my help?" the clear hidden meaning behind my sentence was leave us alone and let me have my quality time with my beauty. "Ah I just wanted to introduce you to my daughter." her tone came out with a hint of pride upon talking about her daughter and here we again. Yet another, unwanted attempt of setting me up with their children. A win for Phuwin, isn't it?Phuwin's pov:
"Ah I just wanted to introduce you to my daughter." My head snapped at her direction the moment her sentence reached my ears. "Mama? What are you doing here-" a young woman approached the old woman and Pond talking, abruptly stopping on her tracks as she noticed the woman being engaged in a conversation with Pond. Must be the daughter, I internally rolled my eyes recalling the woman's previous sentence. I mean of course, setting him up on dates is what I should be doing, but that's my job and not hers. Clearly not when his date was literally sitting beside him, hand in hand when she arrived! Isn't that enough? What more does she need, to know? Me kissing him until I was all he could think of? Me pulling him down by his tie so I could bruise his lips and neck? Or my lips wrapped around his dic- PHUWIN TANGSAKYUEN! I'm one eyelash away from committing a major sin that would cost me my entire living experience. I took a sip of my wine, trying to calm my nerves down, because I had not even one single right to be jealous. I am not jealous in fact, I'm just offended by her clear neglecting of my presence. "Perfect timing, this is my daughter Love and Love this is Pond. The CEO of Naravit group." she pulled her daughter beside her, making them stand facing each other. "Hello, Mr. Naravit. Pleasure meeting you." she offered him a smile as he nodded at her before speaking. "Pleasure meeting you too." I'll show him what pleasure is, the moment these women leave us alone. "You guys should get to know each other-" her sentence was cut off abruptly by Pond. "Some other time, ma'am. This isn't so appropriate to my date." Love peeked over Pond's mount everest of shoulders, a hint of embarrassment covering her face as she smiled at me. I returned the smile before focusing on my drink. "I'm so sorry for the inconvenience my mom caused Mr. Naravit, pleasure meeting you both. Beautiful couple by the way." My cheeks flushed red, too flustered to even deny it. I instinctually gripped harder on the glass, afraid it might break. I watched as Pond bid his farewell to them, Love seemed to be scolding her mom as the woman only rolled her eyes. Good riddance, if not anything else. "Why are you surrounded by such annoying people in this profession?" I didn't even try hiding the obvious irritation evident in my voice. "Jealously looks good on you." He picked up his drink with a slight smirk. "Don't feed too much into your delusions, Naravit. I'm just unpleased with her lack of manners because who does that when your literal date is sitting beside you." I rolled my eyes as his lips formed into a smile. I felt a bit tipsy from all the wine that I consumed. "I might or might not be drunk." Pond suddenly spoke out placing his empty glass of wine back on the counter. "If you even dare vomiting on me. I'll slap you into oblivion." My tone came out as a warning as I leaned against his body. My mind too foggy from the wine. I was definitely as drunk as him. "Do you think by any chance we could afford embarrassing you in front of all these influential people?" I laid my head on his shoulder closing my eyes as I felt him wrap his arms around me in a possessive grip. "Not a chance." he replied with a slow chuckle. "Then let's leave." I suggested raising my head to look at him, only to find him already staring at me. "Doesn't sound very courteous." Our eyes met for a second before I looked away. My mind screaming at me to grab his collar and kiss him so hard that he would feel my lips on his even when stone sober. "Sounds better than embarrassing ourselves because we're clearly going to lose control after 10 more minutes." I whispered my mind completely hazy from the eye contact. A goddamn eye contact causing me to lose my conscience, damn you Naravit. "I second that." He pulled me from my seat by my hand as I lazily intertwined our fingers strolling towards the exit.Pond's pov:
"Of course it had to rain now. When everything was going perfect." The rain suddenly poured down in a steady rhythm, patterning on our clothes. I discarded my blazer, loosening my tie as I let the rain pour down soaking my entire body. On the other hand, I saw how Phuwin's eyes brightened as he watched the rain stream down our bodies. He loved the rain, he loved the sound of the rain, he loved the smell that came with the rain. I looked at him as he was engaged by the rain, he looked even prettier as the rain kissed his face. His hair glistening, the moonlight and the rain doing justice to his beauty. The constellations of stars falling to shame in front of his existence. "Done staring?" He shifted his gaze towards me as our eyes met. I kept looking at him before pulling his hands and running forward. "You don't like the rain." He said as we stopped in the middle of the road. "Yes I do, with you I do." I replied taking his hands in mine. "Dance with me." I pulled him closer to my chest as I wrapped my arms around his waist, feeling him shiver against my body. The downpour doing little to ease the heat igniting between us. "I don't know how to dance. You're the dancer, not me." He placed his hands on my chest looking everywhere but my eyes. I put my hand under his chin, forcing him to look at me. "With me you do. Just let your body move along mine." I pushed his body on the side my hand still holding his as he exclaimed before pulling him back towards my chest as he broke into a fit of giggles. The sound of his giggles making my heart swell with love as our bodies continued moving along in the rain. We danced until the downpour lessened into a gentle shower. "You're going to be so sick tomorrow." he whispered as we stood in the middle of nowhere with my arms still wrapped around his waist, refusing to let go. "It's all worth it, if it's with you." I smiled at him as the blush corrupting his cheeks was still visible even in the darkness of the night. The only source of light was the moon standing above us. "You're so drunk, my lord!" He sighed wrapping his arms around my neck trying to steady himself. I only smiled before placing my lips on his forehead as he pushed himself even closer to my chest. We stood there in each other's arms feeling our hearts beating against each other.Didn't revise this chapter but this might have been my favourite chapter to write. Their chemistry in this chapter ❤️ 😭
