(One week later)One week passed with each family gathering information about the Black serpents. Slowly earning each other's trust.
Rafael and Enzo were discharged from the hospital and were taken to the lake house. Enzo was back on his feet, while Rafael was getting there little by little.
"I think we gathered up all the information we need. I'm going to call up a meeting with the Lorenzi and D'Cruz family so we could discuss other things and find out what they also found out." Luca said as he reached into his pocket to grab his phone.
As the phone rang, Luca glanced around the lake house. Enzo was seated on the porch, enjoying the fresh air and the serene view of the lake. Rafael, though still recovering, was inside, going over some documents they had managed to obtain. The atmosphere was tense but hopeful; they were on the brink of something big.
The call connected, and Luca spoke into the phone, "Leonardo, it's Luca. We need to meet. We've gathered a lot of information about the Black Serpents, but we need to compare notes and plan our next steps. Can you and the D'Cruz family, meet us at my restaurant tomorrow evening. I'll make sure food is prepared and the restaurant is cleared for you all to come over."
Leonardo's voice was firm but carried a hint of curiosity, "Understood, Luca. I'll inform the D'Cruz family and make sure everyone is there. We'll see you tomorrow evening."
Luca hung up the phone and turned towards his siblings who were sitting quietly on the couch watching him. "Meeting's set for tomorrow evening at the restaurant," Luca informed them.
"Alright then we'll all be prepared by tomorrow with our information about the Black serpents." Rafael replied as he looked up to Luca.
"Rafael... I,I don't think you should come along. You're still recovering and we don't know when the Black serpents might strike at us. It's better you stay home with Valentina." Luca said his voice filled with concernfor his brother's well-being.
Rafael's eyes narrowed slightly, a mix of frustration and understanding crossing his face. "Luca, I appreciate your concern, but I need to be there. This involves all of us, and I can't just sit on the sidelines while you all risk your lives. Besides, Valentina can handle herself."
Luca sighed, knowing Rafael had a point but still uneasy about the idea. "Fine, but you have to promise to take it easy. Any sign of trouble, and you let us handle it. Agreed?"
Rafael nodded, a determined glint in his eyes. "Agreed."
"I'm also coming along, I want to be there." Valentina said from the corner where she was standing.Luca turned to Valentina, his expression softening but still carrying a hint of worry. "Valentina, you know how dangerous this can get. Are you sure you're up for it?"
Valentina crossed her arms, her stance firm. "Luca, I've been involved in this just as much as any of you. I know the risks, and I'm prepared to face them. Besides, the more eyes and ears we have, the better."
Enzo, who had been quietly listening on the porch, stepped inside, adding his voice to the conversation. "She's right, Luca. We need everyone we can trust. Valentina's been invaluable so far, and she will be again."
"Alright," he conceded. "We go together, but we stay vigilant. No unnecessary risks. We stick to the plan and watch each other's backs."
The group nodded in agreement, a silent pact forming between them. They knew the meeting would be critical in determining their next move against the Black Serpents. The information they had gathered was substantial, but it needed to be pieced together with what the Lorenzi and D'Cruz families had discovered.
