Leonardo, Zuko, and Adrian made it back to the house and they each made their way out of the car silently.
"Hey ahh... Adrian you go ahead and gather the others, I need to talk to Leonardo for a minute." Zuko said placing his hands in his pockets.
"Sure," Adrian said lightning a cigarette and walking towards the front door.
"Leonardo glanced at Zuko, curiosity and a hint of concern flickering in his eyes. He could sense the weight of whatever Zuko was about to say.
"What's up, Zuko?" Leonardo asked, leaning against the car and crossing his arms.
"Dad and Adrian's Dad are going to be here tomorrow morning. And I think it's best we tell Dad about the whole situation with Valentina. You know the birthmark and everything." Zuko replied with a heavy sigh, his gaze shifting to the ground. "He's going to find out sooner or later, and it's better if it comes from us."
"I think it's best we rather not tell Dad just yet, there's still no hard evidence that Valentina is actually your twin sister or our sister." Luca repliedZuko nodded slowly, his brow furrowed in thought. "I get that, but the longer we wait, the worse it could get. If Dad finds out from someone else or if something happens to Valentina before we can confirm anything, it could be a disaster. We need to be proactive."
Leonardo sighed, running a hand through his hair. "I understand your point, but we need to be absolutely sure. If we jump to conclusions, it could cause unnecessary chaos. We need more proof."
Zuko looked up, meeting Leonardo's gaze. "What if we don't have time for more proof? What if something happens tomorrow? We can't keep living in this uncertainty."
Leonardo's eyes softened with empathy. "I know it's hard, Zuko. But we need to be strategic. We can't let emotions cloud our judgment. Let's gather more information tonight, and if we find something concrete, we'll tell Dad tomorrow. Agreed?"
Zuko hesitated, then nodded reluctantly. "Agreed. But if we find anything, even the slightest hint, we go to Dad immediately."
"Deal," Leonardo said, offering a reassuring smile. "Now let's go inside and see what the others are up to."
As they turned around to walk towards the front door they saw Adrian standing in front of them with a shocked expression on his face. "Val..Valentina's your, your sister?" Adrian stammered, his cigarette falling from his fingers as he struggled to process the revelation.
Zuko and Leonardo exchanged a glance, a mix of frustration and resignation passing between them. This was exactly the kind of situation they had hoped to avoid by keeping things under wraps until they had more information.
"Adrian, listen," Leonardo began, his tone calm but firm. "We're not sure about anything yet. That's why we haven't told anyone. We need more proof before we can make any claims."
Adrian shook his head, still reeling from the shock. "Do your brothers know? Or does Angelina even know? What, then, if Valentina could possibly be your sister then Angelina could possibly be the Cassanders sister?
Leonardo took a deep breath, trying to keep his composure. "No, Adrian. No one else knows. Not our brothers, not Angelina. This is all still speculation at this point."Zuko stepped forward, placing a hand on Adrian's shoulder. "We didn't want to jump to conclusions without having solid evidence. That's why we need to keep this between us for now."
Adrian's eyes darted between the two of them, his mind racing. "But what if it's true? What if Valentina is your sister and Angelina is the Cassanders' sister? This changes everything."
Leonardo nodded solemnly. "We know. And that's why we need to handle this carefully. If we act rashly, it could cause a lot of unnecessary chaos and hurt."
