The Black serpent men grabbed Adrian and Valentina and forced them into the car. And separated them by sitting Valentina in the middle row seat and Adrian in the back seat.
"Here put this on their head." A guy said passing two dark bags and two pieces of black cloth to blind fold Valentina and Adrian.
Adrian and Valentina exchanged a brief, desperate glance before the dark bags were pulled over their heads. The world went black and silent, save for the muffled sounds of the men moving around them and the hum of the car engine starting up.
Valentina could feel her heart pounding in her chest, each beat echoing in her ears. She tried to focus on her breathing, to remain calm, but the blindfold and the bag made her feel claustrophobic. She strained to listen, hoping to pick up any clues about where they were being taken.
Adrian, in the back seat, was equally tense. He could feel the presence of the men around him, their movements deliberate and threatening. His mind raced, trying to come up with a plan. He knew they had to stay strong for each other, that panic would only make things worse.
The car started moving, and the vibrations of the road beneath them were the only indication of their journey. Time seemed to stretch, each second feeling like an eternity. Neither Adrian nor Valentina dared to speak, fearing the consequences.
Suddenly, the car took a sharp turn, and Valentina's shoulder bumped into one of the men sitting beside her. He grunted, and she quickly mumbled an apology, trying to keep her voice steady.
Adrian's thoughts were interrupted by the sensation of the car slowing down. He strained to hear any sounds outside, but the bag over his head muffled everything. He knew they had to be ready for anything.
The car came to a stop, and the men began to move again. Adrian and Valentina felt themselves being roughly pulled from their seats and dragged out of the car. The ground beneath their feet was uneven, and the air felt cooler, indicating they were outside.
"Move," one of the men barked, shoving Adrian forward.
Valentina stumbled slightly but managed to keep her balance. She focused on the sound of Adrian's footsteps ahead of her, using them as a guide. She knew they had to stay together, no matter what.
As they were led away from the car. Soon enough the cold air got warm, indicating that they were being taken indoors. The change in temperature was accompanied by the echo of their footsteps, suggesting a large, open space. Valentina tried to count her steps, to create some mental map of their movement, but it was difficult to focus with the blindfold and the bag restricting her senses.
Adrian, meanwhile, was mentally cataloging every detail he could perceive. The roughness of the ground, the faint sound of a door creaking open, the shift in air pressure—all small clues that might help them later. He felt a hand grip his arm tightly, guiding him forward with a force that left no room for resistance.
They were led through what felt like a maze of corridors, the sound of their footsteps occasionally accompanied by distant, indistinct voices. Adrian strained to catch any words, any hint of where they were or who had taken them, but the voices remained frustratingly muffled.
Finally, they were pushed into what felt like two separate chairs. The bags were yanked off their heads, and the sudden light, though dim, was blinding after the darkness. They blinked rapidly, trying to adjust, their eyes darting around to take in their surroundings.
They were in a large, dimly lit room with concrete walls and a single door. The men who had taken them stood around, their faces obscured by masks.
Then suddenly a voice came from the back of them. A strange voice that was using a voice changer to disguise their identity. The voice was cold and mechanical, sending a shiver down both Adrian and Valentina's spines.
