Chapter 5

Rafael needed to talk to Valentina, so he excused himself from Dante and Dmitri explaining to them that he needed to have a conversation with Valentina.

Dante and Dmitri understandingly agreed that Rafael should definitely talk with Valentina.

Rafael left Dante and Dmitri who were at the pool side, and went to check up on Valentina.

Just as the doorman opened the front door Rafael came across Enzo his older brother.

"Hey Enzo has mum and Val return from the gym room yet? Rafael asked.

"I'm not sure, but if I were you I wouldn't want to speak to mother at this moment her and father got into a little disarray a while ago." Enzo exclaimed.

"Well I'm not trying to speak to mother, I'm actually trying to speak with Val.

"Oh well I did see mother and her walking towards the gym together. You know mum always goes to the gym to release her stress. Maybe you should wait a bit before talking to Valentina." Enzo suggested.

"But shouldn't they be finished by now, I mean it's nearly time for dinner."Rafael exclaimed.

Valentina and Issabella's (mother) pov:

"Mum, we've been in the gym for hours now......And it's nearly time for Dinner can we please go back to the mansion?" Valentina pleaded.

"Shut up!! You ungrateful little brat!" Issabella said sharply. "I say when we finish from the gym not you."

"I'm sor-sorry mum." Valentina replied with a trembling voice.

"You're sorry." Issabella said as she laughed and lit up a cigarette. "Where were you when you came back from school? I remember I typically asked you to dust off all my hat collection."

"I...I felt a little bit tired when I returned home so I decided to get some rest." Valentina replied with a hint of nervousness in her voice.

"You think you could get away with every single mistake you do just because you're adored by your lafather and brothers? Hmmm!!" Issabella said with a tense tone walking slowly towards Valentina.

"Noo.. I...I  was just tired and I forgot to dust your hats." Valentina replied nervously and fearfully as Issabella her mother got closer and closer to her.

"You are nothing but a piece of trash, you hear me you little brat." Issabella said as she aggressively grabbed Valentina's arm.

"You must always keep in mind that you are always going to be punished for the mistakes you make."Suddenly, Isabella planted a cigarette in Valentina's arm, causing her to scream and cry out in pain.

She then proceeded to hit Valentina with a small chain. Wiping her aggressively, as Valentina laid still on the floor not even letting out a whimper, but cried and scram in silence.

After some minutes of Valentina's mum brutally beating Valentina up Issabella suddenly got stopped by the ringtone of her cellphone.

"Yes honey." Issabella's tone suddenly changed to a calm happy voice as she answered her phone.

Turns out it was Enrico calling Issabella to let her know that Dinner would be ready soon and advised her to return and refreshen up for dinner.

Soon Issabella and Valentina who could barely walk made their way out of their gym room and into the mansion.

"You better act as normal as hell or I swear, I'll break your bones if you don't." Issabella whispered to Valentina as she could hear Rafael and Enzo talking in the entryway room.
