"You see your father, also has the same problem of digging into other people's business." Isabella said as she walked back and forth.

"He found out. Dad found out about your secret, that's why he wasn't around much. He was trying to gather more information about you, wasn't he?" Valentina asked.

"He couldn't just do what he was supposed to do. He just had to nose around in my business and spoil everything.

Isabella stopped pacing and turned to face Valentina, her eyes filled with a mix of anger and frustration. "Your father always thought he was smarter than everyone else. He couldn't leave well enough alone."

"But why? What was he trying to find out?" Valentina pressed, her voice trembling slightly.

Isabella sighed, her shoulders slumping as if the weight of the secret was finally getting to her. "He was trying to uncover my past, to find out who I really am. He thought he could use it against me, to control me." Isabella explained while untying the ropes from Valentina's hands and feet.

Valentina's eyes widened in shock. "But why would he need to control you? What could be so terrible that he thought he had to dig into your past?"

Isabella's expression hardened. "Some things are better left buried, Valentina. Your father didn't understand that, and now he's paid the price."

Valentina took a step back, her mind reeling. "What do you mean, 'paid the price'? What happened to him?"

Isabella's eyes turned cold. "Let's just say, curiosity killed the cat. And your father was a very curious man." She said and pulled off the bag from the father's head.

Valentina gasped, her heart pounding in her chest. Her father's face was bruised and swollen, but he was alive. His eyes fluttered open, and he looked at her with a mixture of relief and pain.

"Dad!" Valentina cried, rushing to his side. She knelt down, her hands trembling as she reached out to touch his face. "What did you do to him, Isabella?"

Isabella's expression remained impassive, but there was a flicker of something in her eyes—regret, perhaps, or a shadow of guilt. "I did what I had to do to protect myself. Your father was relentless. He wouldn't stop until he had exposed everything. And now he has to pay the price." Isabella said and pulled out a gun and shot the father right in the head.

Valentina screamed, her voice echoing through the room as she watched her father's lifeless body slump to the floor. Her mind was a whirlwind of shock, anger, and grief. She could hardly process what had just happened. The sound of the gunshot still rang in her ears, a deafening reminder of the brutal reality she was now faced with.

Isabella stood there, the gun still smoking in her hand, her expression cold and unyielding. "It's done," she said quietly, her voice devoid of emotion. "Now you understand the lengths I'm willing to go to protect my secrets."

Valentina's hands shook as she clutched her father's lifeless form, tears streaming down her face. "You didn't have to do this," she choked out, her voice trembling with rage and sorrow. "

Isabella's eyes softened for a brief moment, a flicker of something human breaking through her icy demeanor. "Sometimes, Valentina, the truth is more dangerous than any lie. Your father didn't understand that. And now... now you must live with the consequences of his actions."

Valentina looked up at Isabella, her eyes burning with a newfound determination. "I will never forgive you for this," she whispered, her voice filled with venom. "You may think you've won, but I will make sure the world knows who you really are. I will make you pay for what you've done."
