Chapter 3 Part 2: Jacket

ㅤClink, clink. The coins fell into the coin box, emitting a tinkling sound.

ㅤThe bus door closed.

ㅤOnly Lisa and Jungkook boarded the bus at this stop, but the all seats on the bus were full.

ㅤThe bus driver noticed the blind cane in Lisa's hand, starting the bus before taking a look around the bus, saying to Jungkook, "There are priority seats in the middle, have someone sitting there give up their seat."

ㅤㅤ(TL note: they're actually called seats which means kindness or compassion which i thought was cute)

ㅤ"...."

ㅤNaturally, Jungkook didn't know where the location of the priority seats were on the bus, but it didn't prevent him from turning his gaze around and recognizing passenger seats of a distinctly different color from most other seats in the bus.

ㅤHe tapped the girl's blind cane, then held her slender wrist through the jacket she was wearing, "Come with me."

ㅤLisa nodded obediently.

ㅤJungkook led her and stopped in front of the first priority seat.

ㅤSitting at the front was a hooligan-looking young man with hair dyed a shade of granny grey and a blue diamond nose stud. He wore headphones and had one leg crossed over the other, not feeling the slightest bit uneasy about occupying the priority seat. On the contrary, he made it look like a single-occupant seat.

ㅤJungkook stopped with a lazy look, bent his index finger to knock on the window next to the young man's face.

ㅤThe young man frowned, tugging off his headphones as he turned back, "Something wrong?"

ㅤJungkook didn't bother to pay attention to the other party's provocative tone and turned sideways, making way for the girl who was being held by his wrist, "Excuse me, give up your seat."

ㅤㅤ(TL note: he uses 劳驾 which is more polite/formal than the more casual 对不起. according to others, it also has the connotation of either being sarcastic or asking for a favor)

ㅤIf the K University Junior class heard this, then probably quite a few of them would choke on their water from shock—

ㅤIn all the years they've known him, when have they ever heard Young Master Jeon say 'excuse me'?

ㅤBut the young man apparently didn't feel he received any special 'honor'.

ㅤHe swept a glance at Lisa. After a few seconds of resting on the girl's pretty face, the young man laughed hostilely.

ㅤ"Is this little blind girl your girlfriend, ah? So much care for her? If I don't give, what can you do?"

ㅤ"...."

ㅤHow would Lisa not understand what was happening by now. She hesitantly raised her hand and tugged Jungkook's clothes, "It's only two stops away, I'll only be standing for a bit."

ㅤJungkook didn't move, allowing the little girl to clutch the edge of his shirt. He looked at the young man with an icy look in his eyes, "What does that have to do with you."

ㅤThe young man wantonly sized up Lisa, turning back with a sickening smile, "If it were my chick, I would give it up. For someone else's, of course, I wouldn't-"

ㅤㅤ(TL note: he uses & after doing a little research, it means ___'s girl but has an insulting/demeaning tone to it. i think)

ㅤ"Before the word "give" was uttered, it was overshadowed by a muffled bang immediately followed by a painful grunt.
