The dress that Yang Yilan chose for Tang Lisa for Old Master Jeon's birthday banquet was a sleeveless, round neck dress with a starry sky design: bright, shattered, star-like crystals decorated the girl's dress and gleamed as she moved. The crystal muslin ribbon tied around her lower back outlined the girl's waist.

Below the hemline were shiny, smooth and sleek white calves that increasingly contrasted against the dark dress. Like mutton fat jade, brightening up people's eyes.

If there had to be one regret, it was probably the blind cane the girl held in her hand.

When the Tang family's driver saw Lisa slowly walking out of the apartment building, he felt a little pity for the little girl.

When he returned to his senses, the girl had already stopped in front of the car, showing a little hesitance, "Uncle?"

The driver hurriedly pulled open the door, "Get in, Little Lili."

 "En."

The few times Lisa had gone back to the Tang residence, it was always the same chauffeur who came. To avoid the psychological effect that small, enclosed spaces had on her, he drove the same soft-top convertible every time. Before Lisa came downstairs, he would first open the convertible's roof.

(TL: convertibles can have either a soft or hard roof according to google. dunno the difference between them but it's not relevant)

Therefore, Lisa was no stranger to this process.

Only, this time Lisa sat in the car, as soon as she put away her white cane, she heard Yang Yilan's voice coming from the direction of the apartment building.

 "Hey, wait!"

The driver's action of closing the door paused, and the girl sitting quietly inside the car with her legs bent also raised her head at the sound.

Yang Yilan, who was over 50 years old, walked like she was still young. Not even a few seconds later, she ran to the front of the car, carrying in her hand a jacket that was indistinguishable as to whether it was black or dark blue.

The driver blankly asked, "What's wrong?"

"I thought about it, but I don't know how long the Jeon family's Old Master's birthday banquet will go on until. If it lasts until nighttime, then wouldn't Little Lili be freezing wearing just this dress?" Yang Yilan said, draping the unzipped jacket onto her and pulling the collar tightly together.

Then she straightened back, looked Lisa up and down once then nodded her head in satisfaction.

"Not bad. Those women's jackets at home are either too light in color to match this dress, or too soft in design and without style—I think this one is just right."

The chauffeur had come to pick up Lisa a few times, and could be considered familiar with Yang Yilan. At her words, he retracted his gaze from the confused girl inside the car and nodded.

"It's indeed quite suitable, but why is there male clothing in the house?"

Yang Yilan: "Don't concern yourself over this. Quickly send Little Lili over. Don't delay any longer."

"Okay, okay. We'll leave right now."

 "......"

 The car door shut.

Lisa raised her hand in hindsight, fingertips touching the clothing on her body.

The fabric was cool to the touch, of an unknown kind of material. The faint amber cedar scent had been washed away, but Lisa could still recall it—
