 Jungkook's eyes jumped.

He raised his hand, but thinking of Yoongi standing beside him, Jungkook clenched his knuckles and pressed back.

The youth stiffened for two seconds, slowly loosened his expression and turned to the side to walk upstairs.

"Young master?" The attendant's bewildered and nervous voice floated up.

Jungkook walked upstairs without looking back, his cold and lazy voice throwing behind him: "If you haven't found then keep looking. What's asking me going to do?"

 "Young master...."

Until the second floor, there were no sound of footsteps behind him. The emotions on Jungkook's face slowly faded.

He stopped at the corner of the stairway and lowered his head.

The hand inside his pants pocket was taken out and slowly unfolded. A shiny, silver coin was quietly lying there in his palm.

He closed his eyes for a moment and could easily recall the scene he saw yesterday standing under a tree with an umbrella.

The girl in the rain was standing under the eaves of the INT store with her thin shoulders hunched. Her eyes were closed tightly, eyelashes fluttering, with long jet-black hair, a few thin and disheveled strand of wet hair stuck on her pale cheeks, her lips bitten to glistening, vivid red.

This kind of gorgeous color contrast was like a water demon that has escaped from the deep sea without seeing the light.

From the direction of the second floor balcony came the faint sound of chaotic footsteps and complaints:

"Why is it raining so hard all of a sudden?"

"It's been predicting a thunderstorm for the last few days but I didn't expect to experience it today. What bad luck."

"It rained so fast that I couldn't react. I almost got a cold shower!"

"Hahahaha you're still fine. Didn't you see what happened to the person next to you?"

 "......"

The few young people discussing walked around the corner. The one in the lead suddenly froze.

The person next to him pushed him, "What are you doing, suddenly stopping? You see a ghost or something?"

"No." Startled, the man rubbed his eyes, raising his hand to point to the floor-to-ceiling double window directly opposite the corridor, "Did you guys see? Just now, it seemed as if....."

 "As if what?"

"As if a person—jumped out of there??"

 The others were dumbfounded.

Someone burst out laughing, "Did you just turn dumb? Hallucinations coming out?"

 "No! I really saw it!"

"Is it possible for a thief to enter the Jeon family manor? Otherwise, what kind of person would disregard the stairs right next to them and jump out of the second floor window?"

 "That's right."

A few people chuckled out loud and turned into another long corridor.

On the spiraling staircase, in the blind spot out of their view, a straight and upright figure came up unhurriedly.

The man stopped at the top step and stood there for a few seconds, smiling gently as he looked towards the long open window at the end of the corridor.

The eyes were unfathomable and unpredictable.

 "Tang family's... youngest miss?"

 .

The rain rustled through the thin branches of the trees and fell into the soft, moist soil.

Tang Lisa shrank under the tree, hugging her knees through the fabric of her skirt, her tiny jaw quietly tapping on the pale slender arm exposed under the jacket.

She closed her eyes and sighed softly.

"Kookie. The rain this summer, don't you think it has something against me...."

The phone lying in her arms was quiet and unresponsive-

From the promenade, she entered and got lost in this garden that was who-knows-where. She walked through many confusing, messy paths without being able to hear a single sound of people.

Then she encountered a sudden shower. She hastily hid, accidentally dropping her phone into a puddle of water. After fumbling with great difficulty to pick it up, she tried to turn it on again but it showed no sign of activity.

A completely unfamiliar place, darkness, dead silence.... panic and helplessness gnawed at her heart like little bugs.

Lisa slowly tightened her arms, hugging her cold body. After a few seconds, she closed her eyes and tilted her head to the side, pressing her cheek to her ice-cold arm.

Resting on her arm, the girl's voice carried a bit of great effort to keep her smile from slightly trembling.

 "Kookie, I.... I'm a little scared."

 The phone naturally didn't reply.

The girl's pent up emotions in her heart wavered so terribly that she couldn't help it as the rims of her eyes turned red

It was at this moment that the sound of footsteps suddenly stepping on rain puddles came closer and closer.

Lisa instinctively tilted her face up, her head blankly following the sound, the footsteps stopping not far in front of her.

She reacted and got up in a panic: "Is someone there-"

The fingers the girl extended out to open darkness in front of her eyes were suddenly held by someone.

In the darkness, the person pulled Lisa, who was shrinking under the tree, up.

The compressed, messy skirt spread out after the girl's slender waist straightened up, making an pretty arc against the fine raindrops streaking across the sky.

She had squatted too long. Along with the pull that came without warning, her soft legs made her fall into the person's arms.

Then Lisa smelled a faint scent.

The refreshing scent of rain seeping into the grass, mixed with an ice-cold snowy smell, was the familiar note of amber cedar fragrance.

Lisa's heart trembled. Helplessly tilting her face up in alarm: "Kookie-"

 "....I'm here."

No longer the unchanging AI navigation.

That unmistakably real, deep, hoarse, and pleasant voice followed by a low sigh, rang out above her head.

A/N
