Several people were startled in sucession, then slowly reacted.
"Oh, so that's why you said it was an idea that came up when you were helping the weak today?"
"Robot for the blind? Sounds like a good idea, at least to serve the public."
"We could do a feasibility study first."
"Then let's do it as a group."
"......"
The INT members had been working together for many years and were like-minded, a gathering of elites, so their efficiency has long been honed to a surprisingly high level.
With a few words, an initial plan was decided, and the meeting was over. It was no longer early so everyone joked and left, each preparing to go home or back to the dormitory.
When there were a few people left, Meng Taehyung, who hadn't left, finally walked to the sofa after a long struggle.
"Brother Jungkook," he squeezed out a smile, "You seem to be quite concerned about the little blind girl from the store today?"
Jeon Jungkook was already reclining on the sofa with his eyes closed, and it took a few seconds before he spoke in a lazy voice, "Who said that."
Taehyung slightly gritted his teeth, "If you didn't care, then you didn't choose this direction for research and development for her, right?"
".... When did I say it was for her."
Jungkook finally opened his eyes, and unlike his lazy tone, the pair of eyes were pitch-black and deep under the lamp that no light could penetrate into them.
The atmosphere visibly stiffened, someone nearby noticed and promptly went over, hooking Taehyung's shoulder and patting him, then smiled at Jungkook.
"Brother Jungkook, you shouldn't lower yourself to his level. He's just jealous."
Jungkook asked coolly, "Eating whose vinegar?"
(TL note: in chinese, vinegar has connotations with jealousy.)
"Hey, Brother Jungkook, asking this question, whose vinegar would he be having? There aren't many people on our team who don't know that Taehyung likes that little girl—every time he hears she's at the store, he rushes over there immediately."
Jungkook glanced at Taehyung, "You like that little girl?"
Taehyung went rigid. After a few seconds he stuck out his neck, "That's right. I like her."
"Oh." Jungkook lazily slumped his eyelids and got up from the couch, "What's it to me?"
"......"
Taehyung lowered his head without speaking.
Jungkook didn't feel like bothering with him, walking past him into the inner lounge.
Just as he was a person-length's distance away, from behind Jungkook a tense and hostile voice came from Meng Taehyung: "Brother Jungkook, you really don't.... don't like her?"
"......"
Jungkook stopped, raised his eyelids, and didn't speak.
The guy who hooked Taehyung's shoulder was stunned before laughing out loud. He reached out and dealt a slap on Taehyung's head, "You little youngster, has running algorithms for the past two days made you foolish? Who are you saying Brother Jungkook likes? The little blind girl he only briefly saw today?"
"Don't laugh, Tang Lisa is very pretty!" Taehyung stuck out his neck in dissatisfaction and talked back to him.
"Good-looking is good-looking, but no matter how good-looking, still a little blind girl." The guy who held Taehyung shrugged his shoulders, "You came to INT recently and aren't aware, not to mention that we have trouble accepting it—Brother Jungkook is only interested in the eyes of a beauty. It hasn't changed since entering INT a few years ago, how could he fall for the little girl you like? "
The boy finished, looking back to the front, "Brother Jungkook, aren't I speaking the truth?"
"......"
Jeon Jungkook didn't make a sound.
After a few seconds, the corner of his mouth hooked indifferently, "Not just that."
"Eh? Not just that?"
"It's not just about beautiful eyes."
Jungkook stopped mid-sentence.
Thinking of the petal-like mark from his dreams, his eyes sank a little.
After an instant, Jungkook snapped out of it. He headed toward the inner room with his long legs, resuming the lazy tone and throwing behind him: "Eyes that can't see, I certainly don't like."
Hearing the words personally coming from Jungkook, Taehyung's troubled heart was finally relieved—
Jungkook was a man of his word, and there was nothing that could make him renege when he made up his mind. Taehyung was still uneasy even when others explained, but he was completely relieved when Jungkook himself spoke up.
The guy next to him was still bewildered: "Not just beautiful eyes? What other conditions are there, why haven't I heard?"
"......"
.
Early next morning.
Tang Lisa stood in front of the bedroom window, hanging her hand uneasily, "Granny, this dress seems like a lot of trouble to wear?"
"How is it troublesome?" Yang Yilan tightened the straps for her, the dress' skirt outlining the girl's very holdable slender waist. "Here, turn around. I'll zip it up for you."
(TL note: like, you wanna hold it bc it's a good-looking waist... does that make sense?)
"I can do it myself..."
"This dress is different from the simple ones you usually wear, so I'll have to adjust it for you—you're going to the Jeon family's birthday banquet today, you must dress up especially beautifully."
Lisa smiled helplessly.
After a few seconds of rustling, Yang Yilan made a soft sound of surprise, "Little Lili, you have a red mark on your back here. How did you get injured?"
(TL note: more exactly, it's the small of her back, in more english terms, but that sounds clunky)
Lisa was thinking, "It's a birthmark."
"Birthmark?"
"Mm, I've had it since I was a kid."
"Oh, it's quite pretty." Yang Yilan smiled and took a look at it, slowly pulling up the zipper, "Like a flower petal."
Lisa was startled.
After a few seconds, the girl closed her eyes and laughed very gently. "Mm. Someone's said that before."
Yang Yilan had lowered her head, not hearing the words. After tying a bow behind the girl's lower back, she clapped her hands and stood up straight, smiling with satisfaction.
"Alright—our little fairy is ready to go. We're going to make them properly stunned today."
A/N
