"Why do you care who I marry?"
Inside the main building's large study of the Jeon residence, Jungkook leaned back against the sofa's soft leather backrest with his long legs crossed, coldly quirking the corner of his mouth, his eyes mocking.
The Old Master sitting upright in front of him wrinkled his eyebrows, itching to pinch this unworthy grandson to death with the folds of his forehead, "I'm your grandpa, don't you think I should care about you?"
Jungkook: "Grandfather's rights shouldn't be used like this."
The old man frowned, "Then how do you want to use it?"
Jungkook pulled the corners of his mouth, smiling lazily and coolly, "If you're truly satisfied, go marry that Tang something Nie person yourself. I will definitely call her grandma—that's your right."
(Adaptor note: JK didn't fully know Jennie's name so he said it like that)
"......"
The Old Master almost fainted with anger.
It was only when the old butler of the Jeon family knocked on the door and leaned down to old master Jeon's ear, telling him about something, that he looked slightly more relaxed.
"I bought something from abroad," Once the butler left, the old man raised his eyelids and told this youngest and death-inducing grandson, "I'll send someone to your laboratory afterwards, so you can study how to use it and test it for any defects or safety hazards."
Jungkook had already stood up in preparation to leave. Hearing the words, lazily glanced sideways, "What is it?"
"A smart human-like bionic robot."
This happened to match with the laboratory's next focus. Jungkook became interested, "Haven't you always been unsupportive of me engaging in AI?"
"Don't think too much, it's not for you." The Old Master shot him a quick glance, eyes containing some unconcealed emotions, "The Tang family.... has a young daughter, who is also almost 16 years old this year. This is a birthday gift I prepared for her."
"......"
Once he heard Tang family, the little interest Jungkook had immediately cooled down.
The old master hesitantly moved his eyes, "In the future, when you and Tang Jennie are engaged, you should also take care of this little sister, she—"
"What, you have your eye on their family's young daughter?" Jeon Jungkook smiled coolly, "Two for the price of one? It's not enough to stuff me a Tang whatever Nie, you also want to give me another little girl? Sorry, grandpa, I can't afford it."
The Old Master was so angry that his eyebrows twisted, "Do you hear the disgraceful words you're saying?!"
"......"
Jungkook held back his smile, turning to walk out.
"In any case, I won't marry anyone from the Tang family even if I die—you should give up as soon as possible."
"!"
Ignoring the sound of his grandfather knocking his cane in anger in the study behind him, Jungkook lazily stuck his hand into his pants pocket and walked downstairs.
Today was the Jeon family's Old Master's birthday banquet. There were who knows how many upper-class people trying to squeeze into the private estate of the Jeon family. It was a pity that there were only a small minority that received the invitation. The thin cardstock had become the latest standard of distinguishing who was of importance in the upper-class circle.
