YaYa's POV

Loving someone is never wrong...

Except if it's the same gender...

And acting on these desires is something I shouldn't be tempted to act upon...

But how could I? I didn't choose to feel this way...

You can never choose who to love...

The heart simply beats for someone so unexpected...

"Yaya!" I snapped out of my trance as my mother called out to me. "Y-yes?" I looked over to my shoulder, as I was getting dressed. "Y/n's outside. She said you asked her to help you bake cookies?" My mother asked, I nodded to her question. "Please let her in." I said as I took one last check with how I looked before greeting Y/n outside my door, along with Ice???

I was hoping it would just be me and her...

"Hey, Yaya. Sorry if I brought Ice. He followed me here when I said I was going to help you make cookies." Y/n chuckled sheepishly with Ice standing behind her. "it's fine!" I waved my hand dismissively, "The more the merrier..." I answered. My mother soon left the house with my little brother since they were going to visit my grandma. I led the other two into my kitchen as we prepared to make some cookies.

Author's POV
Silence enveloped the entirety of the kitchen. Only the sounds of utensils were heard as the three had different things going through their minds. Yaya glanced at Y/n, noticing her absent-mindedly cracking two eggs into a plate instead of the batter. "Y-y/n!" Yaya hurried to give her a little shake, making Y/n snap out of her thoughts. "Oh, sorry Yaya." Y/n apologized, Yaya let out a deep sigh "It's alright. Are you feeling okay? You've been spacing out countless of times already." Yaya asked, placing a hand over her shoulder.

"I wasn't able to sleep much..." She rubbed her eyes tiredly, making Yaya reach over to brush her hair behind her ear trying to put her at ease. Suddenly, there was a loud slam on the table. "Sorry, I dropped the rolling pin." Ice said, acting nonchalant once again as he picked up the rolling pin.

"Yaya, have you ever fallen in love?" Y/n suddenly asked, making Yaya blush and stammer. "H-huh...? I-i'm not sure... Love is something complicated for me." Yaya answered, looking down at the batter she was about to stir. Feeling conflicted whether to tell the truth.

"Oh come on, don't tell me you've never fallen in love." Y/n chuckled, feeling playful with her friend. "Well, love is a bit of a complex for me. I don't even know how to handle a relationship. Is it like handling misbehaving students?" Yaya answered. "No! Haha!" Y/n laughed, putting a hand over her stomach. "Love is when-"

"You feel calm around that person, as if they were the peace to your unstoppable blizzard. That you'd do anything to keep them happy, despite the circumstances. You want to explore who they are, not just for what they show. But to know them better than anyone else, to feel privileged that you know something about them that other don't." Ice interjected, causing the two girls to look at him with surprise. "Woah, I stand corrected. I thought you're all cold and unfeeling." Y/n commented, surprised to hear such detail explanation from someone as unexpected as Ice. "I have my moments." He said, as he continues to roll the cookie dough.

Yaya was left at her thoughts at that moment, gazing at Y/n in a complete dazed manner.

She didn't know how but hours passed by, as she was stuck in a daze as the other two eventually finished baking cookies.

As the sun started to set, Y/n and Ice had to bid Yaya goodbye. She waved goodbye to them after giving them two packs of cookies. Closing the door behind her, she leaned against it and slides down to the floor. "I'm doomed..." She buried her face into her hands.

"I think I might have fallen for Y/n." She squeaked into her hands. She knew this was bad, it was against their religion. She had to stop this blossoming feeling before it becomes a sin.

...

Y/n and Ice were walking back home together, the silence was calm as the skies grow darker. "What a beautiful evening." Y/n muttered to herself, before looking over to Ice. "Did you have fun?" She asked. "I suppose." Ice shrugged, without sparing her a glance. "Well, I'm glad you had fun." She grinned "Stop that." Ice stopped, making Y/n halt from walking. "Huh?" She looked at him with confusion.

"Stop thinking about other people for a moment." He suddenly said, staring back at her. "What are you talking about, Ice?" She furrowed her brows. "That. You're doing that." His words kept her confused. "You're trying to make everyone happy, to fix their problems, and making yourself a people pleaser." He said.

"You put other people above you. Stop that." He added. "But that's how friendship works. You have to help your friends." Y/n reasoned, shoving her hands into her pockets. "What you're doing is extreme. To the point that you're forgetting yourself, Y/n. You're making everyone happy and comforted. But what about you? Who's going to make you happy when you're sad?" His words surprised her. "Stop thinking about other people for a moment, Y/n." He approached her.

"Think about yourself too." He said.

"You don't understand-" "I do understand. I'm tired of watching you fix everyone. My brothers, Yaya, Gopal, and... Boboiboy." Ice let out a frustrated sigh.

Reaching over to remove his cap and place it over her head so she wouldn't see his expression.

"You need someone too, Y/n. Someone who'd listen to you, be your crying shoulder. Someone who understands you..." His voice grew quieter with each word being spoken.

"Can I..." He cut himself off, before grabbing her arm. "Nevermind, let's go home." He pulled her along, making sure she doesn't see his expression as he dragged her. "Ice...?" Y/n was confused with his sudden shift of reactions. What was going on here?

Y/n's POV
I was soon brought back home by Ice. "So uh..." I couldn't form words from how awkward it felt earlier. His words were clear, yet I couldn't understand what he meant. "Here's your cap back." I returned his cap, he took it from me and just gave me a stare. "Get home safe." Was all I could say as he gave me a nod as a response before walking away. This guy...

He always keeps me thinking about what he says to me.

I was about to head inside my house when he suddenly said: "You're right, Y/n. It is truly a beautiful evening. Especially the moon" He stopped his tracks, before peering over his shoulder to look at me.

"The moon is beautiful, isn't it?" He said, looking back at me. The wind of the evening growing colder. "I suppose...?" I answered, he only looked at me and I'm sure he even smiled a little before nodding and completely leaving.

What's up with that guy?!
