After Y/n's weird experience with BoBoiBoy yesterday, she decided if she wanted to help him she would go directly to Yaya. And that's what she did, she texted BoBoiBoy that she's going to a cafe with Yaya.
Oh if she knew what she just stirred by texting BoBoiBoy about her plans.
Y/n arrived at the café a little early, finding a cozy corner table near the window. The warm scent of coffee and pastries filled the air, and she found herself relaxing for the first time in what felt like weeks.
Not long after, the soft jingle of the entrance bell rang, and Yaya stepped inside. She was dressed comfortably in a long white cardigan over a soft pink dress, her hijab neatly wrapped in a matching shade of pink. Her smile was warm and bright as she spotted Y/n.
"Y/n!"
"Hey!" Y/n waved her over, and Yaya quickly joined her, setting her bag down beside her chair.
"Sorry I'm late," Yaya said, adjusting her sleeves. "Training ran over a little."
"It's fine," Y/n reassured her. "I just got here too."
"I'm glad you invited me," Yaya said, her smile softening. "It's been a while since we've just... hung out like this."
"Yeah," Y/n said, her fingers tracing the rim of her glass. "I figured we could use some time to unwind."
Yaya nodded, her expression brightening. "Absolutely! No training talk, no stress-just us hanging out like old times."
"Exactly," Y/n agreed with a smile.
The waiter arrived, and they placed their orders. Yaya grinned as she ordered her usual iced chocolate, and Y/n couldn't help but chuckle.
"Still your go-to?" Y/n teased.
"Always." Yaya laughed, her eyes shining. "I know, I know-it's a little childish, but hey, why mess with perfection?"
"I respect it," Y/n replied with a grin.
Their drinks arrived soon after, and Yaya eagerly took a sip of her iced chocolate, letting out a content sigh. "Perfect."
Y/n shook her head with a smile. "You're too easy to please."
"Maybe," Yaya said, "or maybe I just know what I like."
That stuck with Y/n for a moment, and she found herself studying Yaya more closely. She really did seem at ease, her face glowing with quiet contentment.
"So," Y/n started, "what else have you been up to lately?"
"Oh!" Yaya's face lit up. "I've been working on this new hobby-calligraphy."
"Calligraphy?" Y/n tilted her head. "That's... kinda unexpected."
"I know, right?" Yaya laughed. "But it's honestly really calming. I love the way you can turn words into something so beautiful. There's this rhythm to it, like-like you're breathing through your hands, if that makes sense?"
Y/n smiled. "That actually sounds nice."
"I could show you sometime if you want," Yaya offered. "It's easier than it looks!"
"I'd love that," Y/n said, and she meant it.
Conversation flowed easily between them after that. They reminisced about old memories, like the time Yaya confidently led Y/n and their friends in the wrong direction for almost an hour because she swore she knew the way.
