Two months went by since Aecha's birthday. Y/N and Taehyung's lives were going well. Their relationship was improving, and they were finding a good balance between their personal lives, his work, her mom, and their bond, making sure to take out time to get intimate .

Y/N's mother was also discharged from the hospital. Y/N helped her mom settle in her old apartment. Now, it was time for Y/N to talk to her mom about her relationship with Taehyung since she wouldn't be living with her anymore, and she needed to explain the reasons for that.

She was really nervous and scared. But her mom's reaction was totally different from what she expected. Instead of being shocked and worried, her mom was happy and relieved. Her mom's words kept playing in her mind over and over.

"I know that my situation may have made things hard for you, limited your social life, but I'm happy that even in tough times, you found love and support."

When her mom asked about Taehyung, y/n just gave a short answer and changed the subject quickly. She said he's her boyfriend but didn't mention her marriage or their deal.

She was thinking about whether she should be happy or not. Her mom being okay with their relationship was a relief. In her mom's eyes, she wasn't married, so if she had to break up, it wouldn't be a big deal for her mom. She just needed to hide her pregnancy to avoid custody issues, which obviously her mom will raise. Though her mom liked her being in a relationship, breaking up would hurt her mom too.

If her mom had shown she wasn't happy in the relationship, leaving him might not be a big deal. Her mom already didn't like him, so when she eventually broke up, her mom wouldn't push her to stay. But still the challenge was hiding her pregnancy.

Y/N remained firm in her believe that Taehyung would eventually develop feelings for her. She observed his considerate and attentive gestures. However, she wasn't naive. She acknowledged the complexity of life. Life's tough, you can't always get what you want. In every decision she made, y/n carefully weighed both scenarios, the possibility of parting ways and the prospect of staying together.

As per Mr Kim's request, both Taehyung and y/n were now sitting at the living room of the Kim Mansion sipping their coffee, y/n was engaged in a light conversation with Mr Kim meanwhile Taehyung was just sitting there silently.

After wedding when Mr Kim put forward the request to visit him, y/n thought of visiting him alone though as she figured out at her wedding that her husband isn't in a good relationship with his father but she got occupied with her mom's condition and then trying to build a relationship with Taehyung that it eventually slipped out of her mind.

When Mr Kim again addressed his wish at Aecha's birthday y/n felt a little pang of guilt. She knew Mr Kim is nice as a person and also as a father, also their fluctuating relationship isn't a brutal one, probably some misfortunes. She herself wanted to meet him and talked to him about himself and taehyung, their lives, his past, his deceased mother, she wanted to grab as much information as she could.

When y/n suggested Taehyung for a visit to his father, Taehyung didn't stop her instead instruct her.

"Be careful. He isn't a manipulative person, but he might be suspicious about our relationship since I found a wife in just a couple of days. He might try to get information out of you, so stay calm and make sure to show that we love each other."

Y/N wanted to ask him why he didn't just tell his father the truth about their contract marriage, leaving out the part about getting a divorce after having a child. Contract marriages are common in the business world. That way, his father wouldn't get his hopes up and wouldn't be too hurt when he found out the truth.
