It was a nice summer evening. The sun wasn't too bright, and a cool breeze was blowing. The smell of salt filled the air.

A group of about 50 students stood by a lake. All the students were around 17 to 18 years old, gathered together for a camping trip. It was the last day of their adventure. Many small boats were ready for them. The weather and the view were perfect for this activity. They could ride the boats after going through safety instructions and a test ride with experts. It was up to them whether they wanted to go boating or sit by the lake, enjoying the breeze and the view.

Among the group were Taehyung and y/n. During the past few days, they had become close friends. They came from different cities and had different family backgrounds, but they were similar in personality and interests. They both loved sports, physical activities, trips, and hanging out. They actively participated in their schools' sports competitions and were also good students. During this camping trip, they shared about their interest and noticed their similarities and grew closer.

A few days ago, they went mountain hiking. To make it more fun, their tour manager gave them a little challenge, the first 10 students to reach the destination would get the chance to either have a tent for them alone or could share it with anyone they want.

Another activity was throwing ball, where Taehyung and y/n really shined.

They also had a chance to ride a zip line. Some students were too scared and decided to stay behind, but both y/n and Taehyung were excited about it.

Later, while sitting around the campfire, the students played truth and dare. Unlike the dramatic games of high school, they kept their dares simple and their truth questions comfortable. Through this game, they discovered they shared many similar opinions. Their time together in various activities and their common interests helped them build a strong bond.

Y/N was getting ready for the boat ride. She had listened to the safety instructions and completed a test drive with the faculty's help. Now, she was preparing for her solo boat adventure.

Before heading to the boat, she walked over to Taehyung, who was standing by the lakeside, gazing into the distance. Y/N stood beside him and asked.

"Aren't you going to ride the boat?"

Taehyung shook his head as no. Y/N suggested.

"I'm going for it. Do you want to ride with me?"

Taehyung looked at her and replied with a small smile.

"Thanks for the offer, but I don't want to go."

Y/N pondered for a moment and said.

"Look at the weather, the view, the cold breeze, it wouldn't be wise to decline the opportunity of having a boat ride."

Taehyung chuckled and shrugged his shoulders, replying.

"Then you shouldn't. Go and enjoy your time before it gets dark. We then have to go back to our campsite."

Y/N asked him.

"Why don't you want to come?"

Taehyung just shrugged his shoulders but didn't say anything. Y/N then asked in a soft tone.

"Are you afraid of water? Any phobia?"

Taehyung mucle suddenly stiffs as he sighed but didn't reply, his gaze still fixed on the scenery in front of him. Y/N placed her hand on his shoulder and said.

"Over the period of time, we have become best friends. You can share with me without fearing any embarrassment or judgment."

Taehyung thought in silence for a moment, then decided to let it out.
