15. A Heart on the Brink

"Akshara. Nikkeji. I love you."

Abhinav shouted loudly. He was feeling exhilarated. He could remember yesterday's night so well. That night they became the heart and soul of each other. The joy was rushing like a waterfall through his body. He couldn't stop smiling widely.

Suddenly he could feel a wave of dizziness hitting him. In balancing himself Abhinav lost his foot, and he could feel himself slipping down.

"No. Please God no. Not now." Abhinav cried internally.

Thud.

Abhinav rolled down and hit his head hard on the rock.

"Please God. I can't die like this. My Akshara and Abhir would never be able to handle it. Kal hi toh sab kuch thik hua. Please. No."

The thought of what would happen to his family without him was killing him. Abhinav tried to not lose his consciousness, but the blood was rushing out rapidly.

Akshara who was feeling restless since morning decided to bring her husband back herself. She has been calling him nonstop. But he didn't pick at all. She has no idea why her heart was telling something was horribly wrong. And she was feeling restless. She immediately checked her husband's location.

"Yeh toh jungle ka area hai. Abhinav waha kya kar rahe hai. I should have never trusted Dr. Birla. What was the need to take my husband near the jungle?"

Akshara hurriedly took her car keys and left outside. She knew Muskaan would keep an eye on Abhir for her.

Throughout the whole journey her heart was running at an extremely high speed. Her mind was suggesting all kinds of horrific scenarios. She could feel the signs of an oncoming panic attack.

"No Akshara. Now is not the time. Calm down. What does your Abhinav say, Akshara, Abhinav Abhir hamesha saath me rahega. Nothing's going to happen to him. It's just your overthinking."

Akshara's phone rang. She immediately checked thinking Abhinav called her back. But no. It was her Adi jiju calling. Her Krishna di's husband.

"Akshara. Kaha ho yaar tum log. Me aur Krishna kabse Abhinav ko call karne ki koshish kar rahe hai. Utha hi nahi Raha koi phone. Me aur Kishu yaha tum dono se milne aaye hai. Aur Abhinav ka location yeh jungle Wale area me kyu dikh raha hai. "

"Jiju." Akshara said worriedly, almost on the verge of crying.

Hearing her tone Adhiraj immediately straightened up and asked seriously,

"Akshu. Kya hua hai. Sab thik hai na. Gaadi ki awaj aa rahi hai. Where are you?"

"Jiju. Abhinav kabse call nahi utha rahe. I am feeling so restless. Mujhe kuch samajh nahi aa raha hai. Me abhi jungle Wale area me hi jaa rahi hu. Aap please aaiye na. Mujhe bohot Darr lag raha hai."

Akshara muttered a small okay. She took a deep breath. But she increased her car's speed. She reached the cliff area where her husband's phone location indicated.

"Abhinav."

Akshara shouted loudly. She saw Abhimanyu standing at the cliff and she came running. She was going to shout at him when her gaze fell on her husband who had tumbled down the cliff.
